Norton Atlas New Variant Spotted: A new version of the upcoming Norton Atlas adventure motorcycle has been spotted testing in India, revealing several changes compared to the models showcased at the 2025 EICMA show. The latest test mule suggests that TVS Motor Company is evaluating an additional variant, possibly aimed at a lower price point for the Indian market.

Norton Atlas New Variant Spotted- New Wheel & Suspension Setup
The test bike features a 19-inch front and 17-inch rear alloy wheel combination, which differs from the previously revealed Atlas versions. At EICMA, the standard Atlas used cross-spoke wheels, while the GT variant came with 17-inch alloy wheels at both ends.

Interestingly, the alloy wheel design closely resembles that seen on the TVS Apache RTX 300, and the bike is equipped with dual-purpose Eurogrip tyres, including a 110/80-19 front tyre similar in size and specification.
Another notable change is the gold-finished upside-down (USD) front fork. Unlike the adjustable suspension units shown earlier, the fork on this test mule appears to be non-adjustable, indicating a more basic hardware setup.
Simpler Equipment Likely for Cost Control
The Norton Atlas New Variant Spotted motorcycle also misses certain premium elements seen on the international-spec models. It does not feature hand guards or the auxiliary fog lights integrated into the fairing, suggesting a simplified equipment list.
These changes point towards the possibility of a lower-spec or India-focused variant designed to keep pricing competitive. This strategy could be important, especially with higher taxation on larger-capacity motorcycles affecting overall pricing in the segment.
Engine and Expected Performance

The Norton Atlas will be powered by a 585cc, liquid-cooled, parallel-twin engine with a 270-degree firing order. The motor is expected to produce around 65–70hp, which could make it one of the most powerful motorcycles to be manufactured in India once launched.
Launch Timeline & Market Position
Norton Atlas New Variant Spotted Testing activity indicates that development is in an advanced stage, and the Atlas lineup is expected to launch in the coming months. The motorcycle will be sold through a new premium Norton dealership network in India, alongside select high-end TVS offerings.
Once launched, the Norton Atlas is likely to occupy a unique space in the middleweight adventure segment, with its positioning dependent on the final variant lineup and pricing strategy.
