Mahindra is continuously testing its upcoming compact SUV in different road conditions before its launch. This time, the Mahindra Vision S Spied during high-altitude testing in the Spiti Valley of Himachal Pradesh.
The latest spy shots reveal that the SUV is now very close to the production-ready stage and the company is completing its final validation tests.

Testing on hilly and challenging roads also makes it clear that Mahindra is verifying the SUV’s performance, suspension, and stability not only for city driving but also in harsh weather and difficult terrains.
If everything goes as planned, the production-ready version could debut this year, while the market launch is expected in 2027.

Rugged SUV Design Attracts Attention

The latest Mahindra Vision S Spied prototype appears to be heavily inspired by the concept version. The SUV’s boxy silhouette, upright stance, and high ground clearance give it a traditional Mahindra SUV identity.
The front profile reveals a six-slot grille, muscular bonnet, and LED lighting setup. Spy shots also indicate that the production model will largely retain the concept’s aggressive look.
As for the side profile, flush door handles, muscular wheel arches, chunky body cladding, and large alloy wheels give the SUV a premium appearance. A panoramic sunroof along with a flat roofline was also clearly visible on the test mule.
The side-hinged tailgate and externally mounted spare wheel in the rear section give it a proper lifestyle SUV look. Short overhangs could also offer better approach and departure angles in the future.

The interior has not yet been fully revealed, but reports suggest the cabin layout will feature an upright dashboard design.

Some reports also suggest the possibility of hybrid and electric versions in the future, but Mahindra has yet to officially confirm this.
The suspension setup could also feature Mahindra’s DaVinci suspension architecture, which could further improve ride comfort and handling.
