Audi has officially revealed fresh details about the upcoming Audi A2 e-tron, bringing back one of its most iconic nameplates in an all-electric form after more than two decades.

Unlike many modern EVs that focus primarily on performance, the new A2 e-tron has been engineered around efficiency, lightweight construction and everyday practicality.
The premium electric hatchback is expected to make its global debut later this year, while customer deliveries across Europe are likely to begin between late 2026 and early 2027.
With a claimed 453 km WLTP driving range, class-leading efficiency and several new battery technologies, Audi believes this could become the most efficient production vehicle it has ever built.

In addition, Vehicle-to-Home (V2H) compatibility allows the battery to function as a home energy storage system when connected to supported charging infrastructure, helping users better manage household electricity consumption.
More Variants Expected in the Future
For now, Audi has only confirmed specifications for the 140 kW version of the A2 e-tron. However, since the electric hatchback shares its platform with the Volkswagen ID.3 Neo, industry expectations suggest that additional variants featuring larger battery packs could join the lineup later.
A future model equipped with a 79 kWh battery, similar to the larger ID.3 variants, could significantly increase the driving range and broaden the A2 e-tron’s appeal across international markets.
