The 2026 Skoda Slavia Facelift has been officially teased by the company ahead of its August 18 launch in India. The upcoming sedan will receive a mid-life update, bringing exterior styling, some new features, and a major transmission update.
Spy shots of the Slavia facelift have been surfacing for quite some time during testing. Now, with the official teaser, excitement for its launch has only increased.

What will change in the 2026 Skoda Slavia Facelift?
The overall design and basic shape of the Slavia sedan are expected to remain largely the same, but noticeable changes could be seen in the front and rear profile.

Based on spy shots, the updated sedan is likely to receive new headlamps, revised bumpers, and redesigned fog lamp housings. The front grille could also receive a refresh.
One of the most interesting changes could be integrated lighting elements into the grille. This treatment is also seen on the recently updated Kushaq.
An update to the alloy wheel design is also expected.
New features in the cabin
In the interior, Skoda may focus on feature upgrades rather than a major design overhaul.
The facelifted Slavia is likely to receive a 10.25-inch digital driver’s display. Seat upholstery could also receive an updated design.
Skoda may also introduce a massage function for rear-seat passengers. This feature has already been introduced in the Kushaq facelift, but its inclusion in the Slavia facelift has not yet been officially confirmed.

Existing features are expected to continue, including:
- 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system
- Sunroof
- Wireless phone charger
- Automatic climate control
- Rear AC vents
- Six airbags
- Tire Pressure Monitoring System
- 1.0 TSI engine may be available with an 8-speed automatic

The biggest mechanical update in the Slavia facelift is expected to be found in the 1.0 TSI automatic variant.
The current Slavia comes with a 1.0-litre TSI engine paired with a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed automatic gearbox. With the facelift, Skoda may replace the existing automatic unit with an 8-speed automatic gearbox.
This is the AQ300 8-speed automatic unit introduced in the facelifted Kushaq.
The 1.0 TSI engine is expected to produce 115hp, while the higher-spec 1.5 TSI engine will continue to produce 150hp.
The 7-speed DSG/DCT automatic gearbox is likely to continue with the 1.5 TSI engine.
Price may increase slightly
Currently, the Skoda Slavia’s ex-showroom price ranges from ₹10 lakh to ₹18.19 lakh.
Given the styling and feature upgrades in the facelift, a slight price increase is expected. However, the company will reveal exact variant-wise pricing at the time of launch.
2026 Skoda Slavia Facelift Rivals
After launch, the updated Slavia will primarily compete with the following cars:
- Hyundai Verna
- Honda City
- Volkswagen Virtus
The competition between the Slavia and Virtus will be particularly interesting, as both are based on the same platform and related powertrain technology from the Volkswagen Group.

Official debut on August 18
The India launch of the 2026 Skoda Slavia Facelift is scheduled for August 18. At the launch event, the company will reveal details regarding exterior changes, updated features, variants, gearbox options, and final pricing.
Based on the information available so far, the facelift will focus on fresh styling, additional features, and an improved automatic transmission, rather than a completely new design.
Auto India Daily Verdict
In my opinion, the most significant update to the 2026 Skoda Slavia Facelift could be its potential 8-speed automatic gearbox. If Skoda offers this gearbox at a competitive price with the 1.0 TSI, it could be a very interesting package for automatic sedan buyers.
Subtle changes to the exterior and additional features in the cabin will give the Slavia a fresh feel, while the 1.5 TSI + 7-speed DCT combination will remain for performance-focused buyers.
The final picture will be revealed on August 18, when the official price and complete variant-wise details of the Skoda Slavia facelift will be revealed.
