Kia Sorento Hybrid: 1.6-Liter Turbo Petrol Engine
The hybrid version of the Kia Sorento will feature a 1.6-liter turbo-petrol engine paired with an electric motor and battery pack. Global-spec powertrains pair this setup with a 6-speed automatic gearbox.

This engine is also used in the Kia Carnival and its claimed output figures are 202 PS of power and 441 Nm of peak torque.
The India-spec Sorento diesel is expected to be offered with an 8-speed torque converter automatic gearbox. With this combination, the SUV can become a suitable package for highway cruising and long-distance driving.
