MG Motor India hasn’t yet revealed the SUV’s full design in the teaser. However, the video reveals some details about the front and rear lighting setup.

The front features a slim LED lighting element and a modern headlamp arrangement, while the rear profile offers a glimpse of a connected-looking taillight design. The company has hidden the overall design in the teaser through a dark silhouette.
MG may officially share more details about this SUV on August 26th.
3-Row Cabin with 7-Seater SUV
The upcoming MG SUV will be positioned as a proper 7-seater family SUV. It is expected to feature a 2+3+2 seating layout, with space for passengers in the second and third rows.
The cabin could also be developed with a different and more modern approach than the current Hector. According to reports, the SUV could feature equipment such as a large touchscreen infotainment system, wireless charging, a panoramic sunroof, and advanced driver assistance features.
At present, MG has not officially revealed complete interior details, so the final equipment list will have to be awaited.

The SUV will be based on the MG ADAPT Platform
One of the most important features of this upcoming model is its MG ADAPT platform. The company’s teaser communication also highlights “MG ADAPT.”
This platform has been developed to support different types of electrified powertrains. The upcoming SUV’s electric version could also feature a plug-in hybrid powertrain option in the future.
This explains why this MG model could be crucial to the brand’s future electrification strategy.
Expected Range of Over 500 Km
Reports regarding the electric version have already revealed a battery pack of around 69.2 kWh. With this setup, the SUV’s claimed range could exceed 500 km.
If the final production model achieves this range, this SUV could become an interesting option for long-distance family travel. However, final confirmation of battery capacity, certified range, and charging specifications is pending from MG.
The design will offer a modern look

It’s clear from the teaser images that MG has attempted to give the upcoming SUV a contemporary design. The front features clean styling with slim lighting elements, while the SUV’s silhouette is kept relatively upright in the side profile.
The rear offers a glimpse of connected-style lighting treatment and a wide tailgate design. More clarity regarding the production version’s alloy wheels, bumpers, and other exterior details is expected after the August 26th reveal.
Expected Price of MG Hector Hawk
MG has not yet announced the official price of this upcoming SUV. Reports estimate the starting price of its electric version to be around Rs. 22 lakh to Rs. 25 lakh ex-showroom.
Final pricing may vary depending on battery configuration, variant lineup, and equipment. Exact pricing will be confirmed only after the company’s official announcement.
What to Expect from MG’s New SUV?
MG’s upcoming 7-seater SUV will focus not only on size, but also on electrification and technology. The most interesting points about the MG Hector Hawk are its 3-row layout, MG ADAPT platform, and expected long-range electric powertrain.
Now the biggest update will come on 26 August 2026, when MG Motor India can reveal more details related to the design, specifications and powertrain strategy of the SUV.
