Yamaha XSR155 Price: Yamaha has revised the prices of the recently launched XSR155 in India, less than three months after its market debut. The motorcycle continues to be offered in a single variant, but the extent of the price increase varies depending on the colour option selected.

The Red option has received the smallest increase and is now priced at Rs 1.53 lakh.

The Silver shade sees a moderate hike, bringing its price to Rs 1.57 lakh.

The largest revision applies to the Green/Bronze and White dual-tone option, which now costs Rs 1.59 lakh, reflecting a price increase of up to Rs 9,000.

What Buyers Should Know

Customers planning to purchase the XSR155 should note that the final price now depends significantly on the chosen colour. Buyers opting for the Blue shade continue to benefit from the introductory pricing, while the premium finishes now command a higher cost.

Despite the revision, the top-end XSR155 variant remains competitively positioned. Its price is close to the base version of the Yamaha MT-15 and still lower than most variants of the Royal Enfield Hunter 350, except the entry-level model.

Platform and Positioning

The XSR155 is built on the same mechanical platform as the Yamaha R15 and MT-15. While the engine and core architecture are shared, the XSR155 adopts a retro-inspired design theme, drawing styling cues from the larger XSR900.

The model targets buyers looking for modern performance combined with classic roadster styling, making it a niche offering in the entry-level premium motorcycle segment.

Market Impact

The early price adjustment indicates steady demand and Yamaha’s effort to rationalise variant-wise positioning based on finish and equipment differences. While the increase is modest, buyers considering specific colour options may need to account for the higher upfront cost.

The Yamaha XSR155 continues to be positioned as a style-focused alternative in the 150–200cc segment, combining proven mechanicals with distinctive retro design.
