Mercedes-Benz has reintroduced the V-Class luxury MPV in India with a starting price of Rs 1.40 crore (ex-showroom). Deliveries of the updated model are scheduled to begin by the end of March 2026, with priority allocation for existing Mercedes-Benz customers.

The new Mercedes-Benz V-Class is a facelifted version of the model previously sold in India between 2019 and 2022. It returns with updated styling, revised interiors, new powertrain options, and additional comfort features. The MPV will be locally assembled at Mercedes-Benz’s Chakan plant in Pune.

Mercedes-Benz stated that its Top-End Vehicle (TEV) segment recorded around 11 percent growth in 2025, with one in four Mercedes cars sold in India belonging to this category. The updated V-Class has been reintroduced to strengthen the brand’s presence in the luxury chauffeur-driven space.

In the Indian market, the V-Class will compete with premium luxury MPVs such as the Lexus LM and Toyota Vellfire.

The India-spec model is offered only in the extra-long wheelbase configuration, measuring 3,430mm, making it the longest Mercedes-Benz vehicle currently sold in the country.

AMG Line styling comes as standard, featuring a signature grille with three-pointed star elements, multi-beam LED headlamps with DRLs, and sportier bumpers. The MPV rides on 18-inch alloy wheels, and features electrically operated sliding rear doors and a powered tailgate with an opening glass section for easier access to luggage.

The V-Class is offered in 4-seater and 6-seater configurations. The 4-seat version focuses on rear passenger comfort with individual captain seats featuring extendable leg support, ventilation, heating and massage functions. The 6-seater model offers flexible middle-row layouts, including lounge-style and forward-facing arrangements.

The cabin includes a 650W 15-speaker Burmester sound system with Dolby Atmos, dual 12.3-inch digital displays, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, powered front seats with ventilation, and sunshades for rear occupants. Both black and beige interior themes are available.

Notably, the MPV does not offer a sunroof, and rear windows cannot be opened.

The 2026 V-Class comes equipped with Airmatic air suspension with adaptive damping, tuned for Indian road conditions.

Safety features include seven airbags, driver-monitoring system, 360-degree camera, adaptive cruise control, tyre pressure monitoring system, electronic parking brake with auto-hold, hill-start assist and ISOFIX mounts. The model has received a 5-star Euro NCAP safety rating.

Mercedes-Benz is offering two powertrain choices, both paired with a 9-speed automatic transmission.
