Hyundai Creates Its Biggest Monthly Sales Record

Hyundai Sales July 2026 is not just another monthly update for the company, but also marks the highest monthly sales milestone in Hyundai’s history in India.

In July 2026, the company crossed the 75,000 unit monthly sales mark for the first time. Dispatching a total of 75,360 vehicles, Hyundai achieved 25.4% growth compared to the previous year.

This performance shows that demand for Hyundai remains strong in the Indian market, even if competition is more aggressive than before.

Demand Remains Strong in the Domestic Market

During July 2026, Hyundai dispatched 54,210 vehicles to the Indian market, a 23.3% increase compared to July 2025.

Normally, the monsoon season sees a slight decrease in footfall at dealerships, but this time it did not have a significant impact on Hyundai’s sales.

The company was successful in maintaining its momentum in the domestic market due to its SUV portfolio and premium hatchback lineup.

Exports also set a new record

Along with domestic sales, exports were also a major positive point for Hyundai.

In July 2026, the company exported 21,150 vehicles, representing a growth of 31.4% compared to the previous year.

Most notably, Hyundai India recorded its highest monthly export figure in over 100 months (more than 8 years).

India has become a manufacturing and export hub for Hyundai for many international markets, including Asia, the Middle East, Africa, and Latin America. Improvements in production capacity and the supply chain have directly benefited exports.

Hyundai Creta once again became the company’s bestselling SUV

Hyundai Creta SUV featured in Hyundai Sales July 2026 analysis after recording 18,088 sales and leading Hyundai India's monthly performance.

The Creta once again contributed the most to Hyundai’s record sales.

In July 2026, the Hyundai Creta sold 18,088 units, its highest monthly sales figure for the calendar year 2026.

In the mid-size SUV segment, the Creta competes with models like the Tata Curvv, Kia Seltos, Maruti Grand Vitara, Toyota Hyryder and Mahindra Scorpio-N. Despite such tough competition, the Creta has consistently remained one of the most popular SUVs in the segment.

Hyundai i20 Also Shows Strong Performance

Hyundai i20 premium hatchback featured in Hyundai Sales July 2026 report after achieving its best monthly sales performance of 2026.

Not only the Creta, but the Hyundai i20 also recorded its best monthly performance in July 2026. The company dispatched 6,738 units of this premium hatchback, its highest monthly sales figure for calendar year 2026.

The Creta and i20 together contribute nearly one-third of Hyundai’s total domestic sales. This shows that demand for Hyundai remains strong in both the SUV and premium hatchback segments.

New-Gen Venue Also Supporting Sales

New-generation Hyundai Venue SUV featured in Hyundai Sales July 2026 analysis, highlighting Hyundai's growing compact SUV lineup in India.

Hyundai’s recently launched new-generation Venue is also gradually strengthening its market position.

In the compact SUV segment, the Venue competes with models like the Tata Nexon, Maruti Brezza, Kia Sonet, Mahindra XUV 3XO, and Skoda Kylaq. Despite tough competition, the Venue continues to support Hyundai’s overall SUV sales.

This is why the company’s SUV portfolio once again became the biggest driver of growth in July 2026.

Preparing a New Electric SUV with a 500 KM+ Range

Hyundai is also aggressively expanding its electric vehicle strategy.

The company is preparing to launch a highly localized compact electric SUV this fiscal year. Reports suggest that this EV could be offered with two battery pack options, and the top variant’s claimed driving range could exceed 500 km.

Expected features could include:

  • Dual battery pack options
  • 500+ km claimed range
  • Connected car technology
  • Level 2 ADAS
  • Large touchscreen infotainment system
  • Digital instrument cluster
  • Premium safety package

This upcoming EV could play an important role in strengthening Hyundai’s electric portfolio.

Hyundai Sales July 2026 Analysis

If we consider Hyundai Sales July 2026, the company’s growth wasn’t solely due to the domestic market.

Three major factors appear to be behind this performance:

Strong SUV demand, with the Creta and Venue contributing significantly.

A strong recovery in exports, where the company recorded its highest monthly dispatches in eight years.
A balanced product portfolio, including hatchbacks, SUVs, and exports, supported growth.

This performance also demonstrates that Hyundai’s manufacturing capacity and global supply chain are now significantly more stable than before.

Auto India Daily Verdict

Hyundai Sales July 2026 numbers clearly demonstrate that Hyundai is further strengthening its strong position in the Indian passenger vehicle market.

Record monthly sales of 75,360 units, 54,210 domestic dispatches, 21,150 exports, and 18,088 Creta sales are a historic milestone for the company.

If the Creta, Venue, and Hyundai’s upcoming compact electric SUV continue to receive such a positive response in the coming months, the company could find itself in an even stronger position in the race to set new sales records.

July 2026’s performance also shows that Hyundai has established India as a major global production hub, not just in the domestic market, but also in terms of exports.
