The biggest achievement was that the company’s domestic passenger vehicle and light commercial vehicle sales crossed 2 lakh units for the first time.

Popular models ranging from the entry-level Alto to the Baleno, Swift, Brezza, Fronx and Grand Vitara provided strong support to the company’s sales. Maruti Suzuki Creates A New Domestic Sales Milestone

The biggest highlight of Maruti Suzuki Sales July 2026 was the company’s domestic performance. During July 2026, Maruti Suzuki dispatched 196,203 passenger vehicles and 3,920 Super Carry light commercial vehicles.

This brings the company’s total domestic sales, including domestic passenger vehicles and LCVs, to 200,123 units, marking Maruti Suzuki’s first monthly milestone of 200,000 units.

If OEM supplies to strategic partners like Toyota are also included, total domestic dispatches reach 211,365 units. This represents a growth of 42.1% compared to July 2025.

This performance clearly shows that demand for hatchbacks, compact sedans, and SUVs in the Indian market remains strong even before the festive season begins. Maruti Suzuki’s wide dealership network and products across multiple price segments are also considered a major reason for this growth.

Passenger Vehicle Sales Registered Over 42% Growth

The company’s passenger vehicle category also delivered a strong performance in July 2026. Maruti Suzuki’s domestic passenger vehicle sales during July 2026 stood at 196,203 units, compared to 137,776 units in July 2025. Consequently, the company recorded year-on-year growth of approximately 42.4%.

This growth wasn’t driven by a single model or segment. Almost every major Maruti Suzuki category—mini cars, compact hatchbacks, sedans, and utility vehicles—recorded double-digit growth. This also shows that the company’s product strategy remains highly effective among Indian buyers.

Compact Cars Are Still Maruti’s Biggest Strength

The SUV segment continues to grow in popularity, but Maruti Suzuki Sales July 2026 figures also show that compact and mid-size cars remain the company’s backbone. Models like the Baleno, Swift, Dzire, WagonR, Celerio, Ignis, and Ciaz combined for 90,822 units sold in July 2026.

Last year, during the same period, this category stood at 65,840 units. Thus, the compact and mid-size segment recorded growth of approximately 38%. This category still contributes the largest share of Maruti Suzuki’s total domestic volume and reflects the demand for affordable family cars in the Indian market.

Utility Vehicle Segment Shows Strongest Momentum

Maruti Suzuki Sales: The utility vehicle segment was one of the company’s biggest growth drivers in July 2026. Maruti Suzuki sold 78,851 utility vehicles in July 2026, compared to 52,773 units in July 2025. Consequently, the SUV and MPV portfolio recorded year-on-year growth of approximately 49.4%.

This category includes models such as the Brezza, Fronx, Grand Vitara, Ertiga, XL6, Jimny, Invicto, e Vitara, and Victorias. The growing interest of Indian buyers in the SUV and MPV segments over the past few years has proven to be quite beneficial for Maruti Suzuki.

Models like the Fronx and Brezza continue to be in high demand, while the Grand Vitara and Ertiga are also performing strongly among family buyers.

Entry-Level Cars See Strong Recovery

The affordable car segment also returned to a strong position in July 2026. Combined sales of the Alto and S-Presso, which comprise the company’s mini-car portfolio, stood at 12,634 units, compared to just 6,822 units in July 2025.

This means the entry-level segment recorded growth of over 85%. This segment has been under pressure over the past few years due to rising vehicle prices and financing costs, but July 2026 numbers show that demand for budget-friendly cars is improving once again.

This recovery is considered a very positive signal for Maruti Suzuki, as the company has traditionally been strongest in this segment.

Eeco and Super Carry also provided strong support

Maruti Suzuki Eeco and Super Carry featured in Maruti Suzuki Sales July 2026 highlighting van and light commercial vehicle sales growth.

Maruti Suzuki’s commercial lineup also made a positive contribution in July 2026. The company’s popular van, Eeco, sold 13,896 units, a growth of approximately 12.6% compared to 12,341 units in July 2025.

The Super Carry light commercial vehicle also showed impressive performance. In July 2026, 3,920 units were sold, compared to 2,794 units in the same month last year.

Thus, the Super Carry recorded year-on-year growth of approximately 40%. Strong demand from small businesses and the last-mile logistics segment is believed to be a major reason for this.

OEM Supplies Also Saw Good Growth

OEM supplies also contributed significantly to Maruti Suzuki Sales July 2026. The company supplied 11,242 vehicles to other manufacturers during July, compared to 8,211 units in July 2025.

This category recorded growth of approximately 36.9%. Maruti Suzuki supplies several rebadged models to Toyota under its global partnership, and this growth in OEM dispatches has helped strengthen the company’s overall domestic volume.

Slight Decline in Exports, but Global Presence Maintained

While the company set new records in the domestic market, exports experienced some softness. In July 2026, Maruti Suzuki exported 30,056 vehicles, compared to 31,745 units in July 2025. This represents a year-on-year decline of 5.3% in exports.

Although monthly exports have declined slightly, Maruti Suzuki remains one of India’s largest passenger vehicle exporters.

The company exports vehicles manufactured in India to Latin America, Africa, the Middle East, and several Asian markets. Despite the temporary softness in export volumes, Maruti Suzuki’s presence in the global market remains strong.

FY2026-27 also had a strong start

Between April and July 2026, i.e., the first four months of FY2026-27, Maruti Suzuki recorded total sales of 924,145 vehicles. In the same period last fiscal year, the company sold 708,387 units.

Thus, cumulative sales grew by approximately 30.5%. Domestic passenger vehicle sales reached 721,431 units, while exports stood at 154,792 units. These figures show that the company’s growth isn’t limited to just one month, but rather that the entire financial year has had a strong start.

Auto India Daily Analysis

Maruti Suzuki Sales July 2026 clearly show that the company remains the strongest player in the Indian passenger vehicle market.

Total sales of 2,41,421 units, the milestone of 2 lakh units for the first time in the domestic market and almost 50% growth of the SUV portfolio is a proof that Maruti Suzuki is enjoying strong demand in every major segment.

Although there was a slight pressure on exports, the domestic market easily covered that shortfall. Strong recovery in all three categories of compact cars, utility vehicles and entry-level models is a positive signal for the company.

If the demand remains the same during the festive season as well, then FY2026-27 can prove to be another record-breaking financial year for Maruti Suzuki.
