The phase of updates in the Bajaj Pulsar range doesn’t seem to be over yet. After updates to models like the N160, Pulsar 125, 150, and NS400Z, the company’s fully-faired Bajaj Pulsar RS200 also appears to be heading for a major refresh.
Spy images of a new test motorcycle have surfaced, revealing the RS200’s design remains largely familiar, but noticeable changes are visible in the front suspension and instrument console. The biggest update is the upside-down front fork, while the motorcycle also appears to be getting Bajaj’s new 5-inch TFT instrument display.

Additionally, revised switchgear and adjustable brake/clutch levers were also spotted on the test bike. If these changes are carried forward to the production model, the upcoming RS200 could become a significantly more premium package than its current version.

Bajaj Pulsar RS200 gets USD fork and TFT display

The current Pulsar RS200 uses a conventional telescopic front fork. According to Bajaj’s official specifications, the existing motorcycle features a 37mm telescopic front suspension and a Nitrox monoshock at the rear.
However, the front suspension on the latest test bike clearly appears to have switched to a USD fork setup. This will be a significant mechanical upgrade for the RS200, as it could have a direct impact on the motorcycle’s handling characteristics and front-end feel.
Bajaj hasn’t officially confirmed the exact USD fork setup the production-spec RS200 will feature or the suspension tuning changes. Therefore, at this stage, it’s best to view this as a confirmed test-bike update.
The second major change in the spy shots is the instrument console. A rectangular TFT display is clearly visible on the motorcycle, which appears to be related to the connected-display setup introduced in Bajaj’s new Pulsar models.
Existing 199.5cc engine expected to continue

Despite the mechanical updates, Bajaj may carry forward the RS200’s existing engine. The current motorcycle is powered by a 199.5cc single-cylinder, liquid-cooled, four-valve engine.
According to official Bajaj data, this engine produces 24.5 PS of maximum power at 9,750 rpm and 18.7 Nm of peak torque at 8,000 rpm. The engine is paired with a 6-speed gearbox.
Therefore, no increase in engine output has been confirmed at this time. It is best to consider the upcoming motorcycle’s power figures based on current specifications until the official launch.
The current RS200 comes with a 13-liter fuel tank, 110/70-17 front and 140/70-17 rear tires. The motorcycle has a kerb weight of 167 kg.

New switchgear and adjustable levers spotted

Along with the TFT display, changes are also expected in the RS200’s switchgear. Spy shots show the switch cubes on the left and right sides appear redesigned compared to the current motorcycle.
This change may not be solely for styling. Bajaj may have to make modifications to the handlebar controls to operate the additional functions of the new TFT console.
The test motorcycle also shows adjustable brake and clutch levers. If this feature comes as standard equipment on the production bike, riders will have the option to set the lever reach according to their preference.
This may seem like a small update, but it could be useful in improving ergonomics for both everyday and sporty riding.
Google Maps navigation may also be available
Bajaj’s new connected Pulsar models have focused on TFT console connectivity and navigation functionality. Therefore, there’s a possibility that the upcoming Bajaj Pulsar RS200’s TFT display will include Google Maps mirroring or turn-by-turn navigation.
But here’s an important point: the spy images only indicate TFT hardware and revised controls. Bajaj has not yet officially confirmed the RS200’s final software features, connectivity package, or Google Maps support.
Therefore, navigation will only be referred to as an expected feature for now.
Less likely to see major design changes
Interestingly, the overall body design of the test motorcycle appears to be very close to the current RS200. No dramatic changes to the fairing, fuel tank, rear section, or overall silhouette are visible from spy shots.
Bajaj will likely retain the current RS200’s recognizable styling and focus on mechanical and feature upgrades. The production version may receive updated graphics or decals, but no major cosmetic redesign has been confirmed yet.
This approach also matches the pattern of Bajaj’s recent Pulsar updates, where upgrades to technology and equipment are being provided while retaining the familiar design.
The NS200 and N250 are also receiving updates
The Bajaj Pulsar RS200 update does not appear to be an isolated development. Multiple models in the Bajaj Pulsar family are gradually receiving new equipment.
Recent sightings have also seen the Pulsar NS200 and N250 undergoing testing with a new TFT display and revised switchgear. The latest test mule of the RS200 could be part of this broader Pulsar update strategy.
In the case of the NS200, the expected changes could be even more extensive, including features like ride-by-wire, multiple ride modes, traction control, and a quickshifter. However, these features cannot be automatically confirmed for the RS200.
Even if Bajaj limits the RS200 to just the TFT and USD forks, it would still be a substantial upgrade compared to the current model.
Current Bajaj Pulsar RS200 Price

According to Bajaj’s current official listing, the Delhi ex-showroom price of the Pulsar RS200 is Rs. 1,80,528.
The updated version is likely to see a price increase due to the addition of a new suspension, TFT display, switchgear, and adjustable levers. However, Bajaj has not officially announced the launch date or price of the updated Bajaj Pulsar RS200, so it’s too early to provide a definitive figure on expected pricing.
Recent Pulsar updates have seen price hikes, so the current price is likely to differ from the production-spec RS200 at launch.
Bajaj Pulsar RS200 Launch: What to Expect?
Judging by the latest spy shots, the upcoming update to the RS200 won’t be just a cosmetic refresh. Both the USD fork and TFT display could make the motorcycle technically more modern than the current model.
The engine’s existing 199.5cc platform is likely to be retained, while the suspension, electronics, and rider interface could receive significant attention.
Bajaj has not yet confirmed a launch timeline. If the company completes the testing phase quickly, more details about the updated RS200 could emerge closer to launch.
Auto India Daily Verdict
The Bajaj Pulsar RS200 hasn’t received a major mechanical change in several years, so the USD fork and TFT display update could be genuinely important. The most interesting part is that Bajaj appears to be retaining the existing 199.5cc engine while modernizing the chassis hardware and electronics of the motorcycle.
If the final production version adds additional electronics such as adjustable levers, connected TFT, navigation features and USD forks, the RS200 could become a much more complete package in its segment.
But it hasn’t been launched yet, so we’ll have to wait for Bajaj’s official announcement for final specifications, features and pricing.
