Hyundai has launched the 2026 Hyundai Exter Knight Edition in India. The starting price of this special edition is Rs. 8.14 lakh (ex-showroom). Customers will have to pay Rs. 15,000 extra for the Knight Edition compared to the standard Exter.
The 2026 Hyundai Exter Knight Edition is based on the facelifted Exter. It features blacked-out exterior styling elements, red brake calipers, and a special Knight badge.
Hyundai has also introduced an all-black theme in the cabin, different from the standard model.

2026 Hyundai Exter Knight Edition: Price
The company has launched the 2026 Hyundai Exter Knight Edition with selected variants. This edition is available with petrol and CNG variants of the HX 6, while in the HX 10 it is offered with a petrol-AMT configuration.

Accordingly, Hyundai has imposed a premium of Rs. 15,000 on each applicable variant for the Knight Edition.
Blacked-Out Exterior Styling
The 2026 Hyundai Exter Knight Edition’s overall design is similar to the standard Exter, but its look is differentiated with a dark theme. The Hyundai logos and Exter lettering on the front and rear are finished in black.
The front and rear bumpers also feature dark grey garnishes. The SUV rides on 15-inch alloy wheels, which are finished in black or dark grey depending on the variant.
The most noticeable details of this edition include the red front brake calipers. A special Knight badge is also featured above the tailgate on the rear.
Five Exterior Color Options
The 2026 Hyundai Exter Knight Edition is offered in a total of five color options:
- Titanium Black
- Atlas White
- Starry Night
- Titan Grey
- Golden Bronze
The Ranger Khaki color option is not available in this special edition.

All-Black Interior With Brass Accents
The Knight Edition also receives a different treatment in the cabin than the standard Exter. The dashboard and interior are primarily finished in an all-black theme, with brass-colored accents added.
Seat upholstery is also black fabric. It features amber-colored footwell lighting, while standard variants have blue lighting.
In terms of features, the HX 6 variant comes with features like an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a single-pane sunroof, automatic climate control with rear vents, powered ORVMs, and a rear parking camera with sensors.
The HX 10 variant offers additional features like a wireless phone charger, a cooled glovebox, connected car technology, and a rear wiper-washer.
Petrol and CNG Engine Options
The 2026 Hyundai Exter Knight Edition features no major mechanical changes. The SUV is powered by a 1.2-liter petrol engine that produces 83 hp and 114 Nm.
The petrol engine is available with a 5-speed manual and a 5-speed AMT gearbox.
The 1.2-liter engine in the CNG version produces 69 hp and 95 Nm. The CNG variant is only offered with a 5-speed manual transmission.

Knight Edition has already been introduced
This isn’t the first time the Hyundai Exter has introduced a Knight Edition. The company previously launched this special edition in July 2024. Now, with the facelifted Exter, Hyundai has reintroduced the Knight Edition to its lineup.
This time, the focus is primarily on dark exterior elements, red brake calipers, and an all-black interior theme, making it look noticeably different compared to the standard Exter.
Auto India Daily Verdict
The 2026 Hyundai Exter Knight Edition could be an interesting option for buyers who want a slightly more distinctive and premium-looking design compared to the standard Exter. This special edition carries an additional premium of Rs. 15,000, which is relatively limited.
In exchange for this price difference, customers receive styling updates like blacked-out Hyundai logos, dark gray exterior accents, black-finished alloy wheels, red front brake calipers, and special Knight badging.
In the cabin too, Hyundai has provided an all-black interior theme, brass-colored accents, black seat upholstery, and amber footwell lighting, which visually distinguish it from the standard Exter’s interior. So, if the buyer’s focus is on looks and cabin theme, the extra Rs. 15,000 for the Knight Edition may be justified.
However, there are no major mechanical upgrades to the engine, transmission, and core feature package. Petrol and CNG powertrain options are the same as the standard Exter. Therefore, it’s better to view the Knight Edition as a primarily styling-oriented special edition rather than a performance-focused upgrade.
Overall, the 2026 Hyundai Exter Knight Edition will be more appealing to customers who want a darker, sportier, and more personalized look with the Exter’s practicality and features. If styling is your priority, the Rs. 15,000 premium seems reasonable; but if you expect mechanical upgrades or additional performance, the standard variant offers largely the same core package.
