Isuzu India has introduced the 2026 Isuzu V-Cross in the country with prices ranging from Rs 25.50 lakh to Rs 30.28 lakh (ex-showroom). The updated lifestyle pickup brings minor design revisions, additional features and a major change to the variant lineup — the 4×2 versions have been discontinued, making four-wheel drive standard across the range.

This move positions the V-Cross as a more capability-focused offering and strengthens its rivalry with the Toyota Hilux in the premium pickup segment.

4WD Standard Across All Variants

For 2026, Isuzu has simplified the lineup by offering the V-Cross exclusively with a Shift-on-the-fly 4WD system and an auto-locking rear differential as standard.

The pickup is available in three variants:

  • 4WD MT Z
  • 4WD MT Z Prestige
  • 4WD AT Z Prestige

By removing the 4×2 trims, Isuzu is clearly targeting buyers who prioritise off-road ability, adventure use and rural or semi-urban applications.

2026 Isuzu V-Cross Subtle Exterior Changes

The overall design remains familiar, but the front fascia gets mild updates. The grille now features a revised look with a black lower section, while the bumper has been reshaped with reduced cladding. The faux skid plate from the earlier model has been removed.

Other visual changes include:

  • New 18-inch alloy wheels
  • Omission of black wheel-arch cladding and side body mouldings

The LED projector headlamps and front fog lamps have been carried forward from the previous version.

Cabin Gets Bigger Infotainment And New Features

The interior sees more noticeable upgrades. The biggest addition is a new 10.3-inch floating touchscreen infotainment system, replacing the earlier 9-inch unit. It supports wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

New equipment includes:

  • 360-degree camera
  • Tyre Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS)
  • 8-speaker audio system

Safety features remain unchanged and include six airbags, Electronic Stability Control (ESC), Traction Control System (TCS) and Hill Descent Control (HDC).

2026 Isuzu V-Cross Engine And Performance Unchanged

Mechanically, the 2026 Isuzu V-Cross continues with the familiar 1.9-litre four-cylinder turbo-diesel engine. It produces 161 bhp and 360 Nm of torque, paired with either a 6-speed manual or 6-speed automatic transmission.

The engine is compliant with BS6 Phase II emission norms and is designed to balance highway cruising ability with off-road performance.

What This Means For Buyers

With the shift to an all-4WD lineup, the 2026 Isuzu V-Cross becomes more niche but also more purpose-driven. Buyers looking for a rugged lifestyle vehicle or a capable off-roader will benefit from the standardised drivetrain.

However, the removal of more affordable 4×2 variants could raise the entry barrier for urban users who primarily wanted the pickup for daily use.

Conclusion

The 2026 Isuzu V-Cross focuses on strengthening its core identity as a lifestyle and off-road pickup rather than a mass-market utility vehicle. With standard 4WD, updated features and minor design tweaks, it continues to cater to enthusiasts and adventure-oriented buyers in India’s limited but growing premium pickup segment.
