Kia India has finally launched its new 2026 Kia Syros EV in the Indian market. The company has kept the starting ex-showroom price of this electric SUV at Rs. 13.49 lakh, while its top-end X-Line Extended Range variant will be available for Rs. 19.99 lakh.

This is considered to be a very important launch for Kia as this is the brand’s second locally manufactured electric car in India. The company is also going to start its deliveries from 30 July.
Competition in the electric vehicle market is continuously increasing and keeping this in mind, Kia has launched the Syros EV with two battery options, premium features and long driving range.
This SUV will compete directly with models like the Tata Nexon EV, Mahindra XUV 3XO EV, and MG Windsor EV.

A Familiar Design, But Distinct EV Identity
If you first see the 2026 Kia Syros EV, it will largely resemble the petrol Syros. The company hasn’t changed its overall body design, but some new styling elements give it a distinct identity as an electric version.
The front now features the closed Digital Tiger Face, which has become a hallmark of EV models. New bumpers, Ice Cube LED headlamps, Star Map LED lighting signature, and aerodynamic alloy wheels have been added. Flush door handles also give this SUV a more premium look.
Kia is offering this electric SUV in nine exterior color options. These include an exclusive Matte Graphite shade reserved only for the top-spec X-Line variant.
Latest Technology with a Premium Feel in the Cabin
Like the exterior, the interior layout is very similar to the regular Syros, but the list of features makes it quite premium.
The dashboard features the company’s 30-inch Trinity Display, which integrates the digital instrument cluster, infotainment system, and climate control interface into a single panel. Wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay are standard support.
An 8-speaker audio system from Harman Kardon is provided for music lovers. Both front and rear seats are ventilated, a panoramic sunroof is available, a powered driver’s seat, a wireless phone charger, ambient lighting, and a 16-liter frunk. The overall cabin feels practical and modern.
Up to 526 km Claimed Range with Two Battery Options
Speaking of performance, the 2026 Kia Syros EV launched with two battery pack options.
The entry-level model features a 42 kWh battery pack that offers a claimed driving range of up to 443 km on a single full charge.
For buyers who prioritize long-distance driving, a 51.4 kWh Extended Range battery option is also available. Kia claims that this variant can deliver a certified range of up to 526 km. For this reason, the company is calling it the first electric SUV in its segment to offer a certified driving range of more than 500 km.
The variant with the larger battery pack is also quite impressive in terms of performance. According to the company, this SUV can achieve a speed of 0 to 100 kmph in just 8.1 seconds.

Fast Charging is also Quite Practical
Kia has also provided a good charging package. Using a 100 kW DC fast charger, the battery can be charged from 10 percent to 80 percent in just 39 minutes.
This feature will be very useful for buyers who frequently travel on the highway and want to minimize charging time.
2026 Kia Syros EV Safety
Kia has also placed a strong focus on safety. The SUV comes standard with six airbags. Furthermore, it also offers Level 2 ADAS and 16 advanced driver assistance features.
It also comes with safety features like a 360-degree camera, Blind View Monitor, front, rear, and side parking sensors, Electronic Stability Control (ESC), Hill Start Assist, Electronic Parking Brake with Auto Hold, Tire Pressure Monitoring System, and ISOFIX child seat mounts.
Battery Warranty and Buyback Plan will also be Available
Not just the product, Kia has also focused on the ownership experience.
The company is offering a 15-year, unlimited kilometer high-voltage battery warranty to the first owner. An assured buyback program has also been introduced, promising up to 80% resale value after three years.
A Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS) option is also available. The effective starting price of the SUV under this plan starts at ₹7.99 lakh, while the battery usage will be charged at ₹3.30 per kilometre.
To support the charging infrastructure, Kia is also providing access to its K-Charge network, which has over 20,300 charging points across the country.
