Details like redesigned alloy wheels and a panoramic sunroof are visible in the patent filing, while the front and rear styling are largely similar to the international model. According to reports, JSW Motors may position this EV as an off-road-focused electric SUV in India.

JSW iCaur V23 Design Patent: What Changes?
The overall silhouette of the India-spec version is similar to the international iCaur V23. It continues the boxy body, flared wheel arches, side steps, and circular LED headlamps with distinctive LED DRLs.
The front section continues to feature a round lighting setup with black surrounds, but the closed-off grille area has been given a slightly redesigned treatment. The front bumper is quite close to the international model’s design.
The most noticeable change in the side profile is the alloy wheel design. Patent images also show a rectangular element placed on the closed-off section between the C- and D-pillars.
Another important addition is a panoramic sunroof. This feature is not available on the international iCar V23, so it could be a notable equipment difference on the India-spec JSW version.
Changes to the rear profile are comparatively limited. Design elements like the slim LED taillights and tailgate-mounted storage box appear to be carried forward from the international model.
Interior Could Be Similar to the International Model
JSW Motors has not yet officially revealed the production interior of the India-spec SUV. However, according to available information, the basic layout of the cabin is expected to be similar to the international iCar V23.
The international model features a minimalist dashboard with a 15.4-inch touchscreen infotainment system. Vehicle-related information is displayed on a central display instead of a traditional driver instrument cluster.
The cabin features a 3-spoke steering wheel, steering-mounted controls, and a setup of rotary controls below the infotainment system. The international version is available with a five-seat configuration and leatherette upholstery.
The cabin theme and seat upholstery of the India-spec model may be updated to suit the local market, but these changes have not yet been officially confirmed.
JSW iCaur V23 AWD Version Expected
This upcoming EV could be interesting in terms of powertrain. In international markets, the iCaur V23 is available with different battery and drivetrain configurations.
The smaller battery version of the global model comes with a rear-mounted electric motor, while the larger battery variant offers a dual-motor AWD setup. According to a source-based report by Autocar India, the India-spec JSW version may offer a dual-motor AWD setup.

Positioning with Mahindra Thar Roxx and Force Gurkha 5-Door
JSW Motors plans to position this electric SUV as a more rugged/off-road-focused product rather than a conventional urban EV.
According to Autocar India sources, the India-spec model could be positioned against lifestyle/off-road SUVs like the Mahindra Thar Roxx and Force Gurkha 5-door.
An important difference here will be that the JSW model will come with an electric powertrain and an available AWD setup, while the Thar Roxx and Gurkha 5-door use conventional internal-combustion powertrains.
Expected Price Around Rs. 20 Lakh
India pricing for JSW Motors’ upcoming JSW iCaur V23-based SUV has not been officially announced.
Current industry estimates peg it at around Rs. 20 lakh ex-showroom. Autocar India’s current listing for the India-spec model is Rs. 17 lakh–Rs. The estimated range shows an estimated price of Rs. 20 lakh, while earlier reports had expected the price to be below Rs. 20 lakh.
Final pricing may vary depending on battery configuration, localization level, and variant lineup.
When will the India launch happen?
JSW Motors has not yet officially announced the exact India launch date of the JSW iCaur V23-based SUV.
The company is planning to introduce multiple products in India through a partnership with Chery. The iCaur V23-based EV is said to be part of JSW Motors’ upcoming portfolio after the Jetour T2.
The model is also expected to be locally assembled at JSW Motors’ facility in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, which could help the company keep pricing competitive.
