Mahindra has expanded its electric vehicle portfolio with the launch of the Mahindra XEV 9e Cineluxe Edition at an introductory price of Rs 29.35 lakh (ex-showroom). The new special edition is based on the fully-loaded Pack Three variant and will be available for bookings starting March 2, 2026, with deliveries scheduled to begin from March 10.
The Cineluxe Edition introduces cosmetic and feature-focused enhancements while retaining the core mechanical setup of the standard model.

Cosmetic Updates and Interior Theme

The most noticeable changes on the outside come in the form of two new monotone exterior colour options – Satin Black and Satin White. The latter is paired with contrasting gloss-black body cladding, while the overall design remains identical to the Pack Three trim, including 19-inch alloy wheels, full-LED lighting, and a powered tailgate.
Inside, the special edition gets a new Chestnut Brown and Nocturne Black dual-tone theme. The contrast treatment extends across the dashboard, door pads, steering wheel, and centre console. The leatherette seats and armrest feature brown stitching, giving the cabin a more premium appearance.
Feature List Remains Fully Loaded
The Cineluxe Edition carries forward the high equipment level of the top variant. Key highlights include:
- Triple-screen layout
- Harman Kardon audio system with Dolby Atmos
- Augmented reality head-up display (AR-HUD)
- Connected car features and advanced digital interface
These additions position the model as a feature-rich offering aimed at buyers seeking a more premium in-cabin experience without moving to a higher segment.
Mahindra XEV 9e Cineluxe Edition Powertrain & Performance

The XEV 9e Cineluxe Edition is offered exclusively with the 79kWh lithium-ion battery pack. Mahindra claims a range of around 500km on a full charge, while internal testing has indicated a real-world figure of approximately 456km.
Power comes from a rear-mounted electric motor producing 286hp and 380Nm, enabling a 0–100kmph sprint in 7.45 seconds. Charging options are expected to be similar to the standard model, which supports 7.2kW and 11kW AC chargers.
Mahindra XEV 9e Cineluxe Edition Positioning & Rivals
With its pricing, the Cineluxe Edition sits between the mid and top variants of the XEV 9e lineup.
| Variant Position | Battery | Ex-showroom Price (Approx) |
|---|---|---|
| Pack Three Select | 59kWh | Lower than Cineluxe |
| Cineluxe Edition | 79kWh | Rs 29.35 lakh |
| Pack Three (Top) | 79kWh | Higher than Cineluxe |
In the Indian market, the Mahindra XEV 9e Cineluxe Edition competes with models such as the BYD Atto 3 and Hyundai Ioniq 5.
What This Means for Buyers

For customers, the Cineluxe Edition offers a way to access the larger battery pack along with premium cosmetic and feature upgrades without opting for the most expensive trim.
The focus on interior ambience and entertainment features suggests Mahindra is targeting buyers looking for a more luxury-oriented EV experience within the mid-premium segment.

The launch of the Mahindra XEV 9e Cineluxe Edition reflects Mahindra’s strategy of expanding variant choices to cater to evolving customer preferences in the electric SUV space.
With bookings opening immediately and deliveries starting within days, the new edition is expected to strengthen the brand’s presence in India’s growing premium EV market.
