New Hyundai Tucson: Bold Design With Larger Dimensions

The all-new Hyundai Tucson exterior is based on Hyundai’s “Art of Steel” design philosophy. The SUV features muscular fenders, sharper body lines, and restrained door surfaces, giving the overall design a more substantial road presence. Hyundai has also made the body longer, wider, and taller than the previous generation.
The long-wheelbase version measures 4,700 mm in length, 1,905 mm in width, and 1,685 mm in height. Compared to the previous model, the length has increased by 60 mm, width by 40 mm, and height by 20 mm. According to Hyundai, the larger dimensions also benefit cabin space. The door opening angle has also been increased from 73 degrees to 83 degrees, making entry and exit easier.
Nature-inspired options have also been added to the exterior color palette, including Ranger Green Pearl/Matte, Kodiak Blue Pearl, Driftwood Gray Metallic/Matte, and Red Rock Orange Pearl/Matte.
New Lighting Signature With Micro Pixel Lighting
Hyundai has introduced H-Edge lighting on the front end of the New Hyundai Tucson. This setup combines indirect center lighting and edge lighting, creating a wider-looking front profile.
The rear section features Prism Rear Lamps, which give the tail section a distinctive lighting signature. Hyundai has also introduced optional Micro Pixel Lighting (MPL) technology, which uses 25,600 individual LED pixels. This system supports rain guides and dynamic welcome/farewell animations with precise beam patterns.
New Hyundai Tucson Cabin Gets Premium & Spacious Layout

The cabin of the new Hyundai Tucson also follows a completely redesigned approach. The dashboard features a two-layer layout, while soft cushioning across the dashboard, doors, and console armrest is designed to give the cabin a more premium and relaxed feel.
The driver-focused layout features a 9.9-inch slim display above the steering column. Tactile buttons are available for frequently used functions like HVAC and audio below the center stack, with Hyundai aiming to minimize screen interaction.
The cabin offers 1,036 mm of front headroom, 1,064 mm of rear legroom, and 1,470 mm of front shoulder room. Higher variants include the Ergo Motion Seat with a seven-cell pneumatic lumbar and bolster massage system, while the Relaxation Comfort Seat offers a one-button recline function.

Pleos Connect Infotainment Gets Gleo AI
On the technology front, the all-new Hyundai Tucson introduces Hyundai’s Pleos Connect infotainment system. This Android Automotive OS-based system offers a 9.9-inch slim display along with a 17-inch or 12.9-inch primary touchscreen, depending on the market.
The system also integrates the Gleo AI in-vehicle assistant, which is designed to understand natural language and user context. Following Hyundai’s example, the driver can conversationally request information like a nearby hiking trailhead with parking. The infotainment system will also be updated in the future via OTA updates.
New Hyundai Tucson Hybrid Gets Up to 42 MPG Target

Hyundai’s next-generation hybrid system is a major highlight of the powertrain lineup. The company targets up to 42 MPG fuel economy for the hybrid model, while a 0-60 mph acceleration target is given as 8.5 seconds.
The E-Traction system is also available on HEV models, which helps reduce wheel slip by intelligently optimizing driving torque during cornering. The hybrid also features a Stay Mode feature, which allows functions such as air conditioning, heating, audio, and device charging to operate even with the engine off.
The standard turbo-petrol setup features a 1.6-liter T-GDI engine producing 184 hp and 27.0 kgf/m of torque, paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission.
Tucson Plug-in Hybrid Also Revealed
The Plug-in Hybrid version of the New Hyundai Tucson comes with a 1.6-litre turbocharged petrol engine and plug-in hybrid system. Combined output is 292 PS and 38.7 kgf m torque, while Hyundai estimates up to 81 km electric-only range. A 7.2 kW onboard charger is also available.
Tucson XRT PRO Brings Serious Off-Road Hardware

Hyundai has also revealed the XRT PRO variant along with the all-new Tucson. This model has got all-wheel drive, all-terrain tyres, aggressive approach and departure angles and front recovery hooks.
The ground clearance of the XRT PRO is 210 mm, which is 30 mm higher than the standard Tucson. Expanded cladding and rugged styling elements are also found on its exterior. Hyundai has also introduced Smart Terrain Assist, which analyzes terrain difficulty and traction conditions in real time and provides the driver with a visual “stuck score.”
When will the India launch happen?
Hyundai has not yet announced an official date for the all-new Hyundai Tucson India launch. According to the company’s official announcement, the SUV will launch in Korea later this year, followed by North America, Europe, and other global markets in 2027. India has not been explicitly named in the launch-market timeline.
Therefore, any figures regarding the India launch, India-specific powertrain, and pricing should not be considered confirmed yet.
Auto India Daily Verdict
The all-new Hyundai Tucson is a significant advancement from a simple facelift-type update of the previous generation. With bigger dimensions, new “Art of Steel” styling, hybrid technology, Pleos Connect with Gleo AI and rugged variants like the XRT PRO, Hyundai has expanded the SUV in both technology and versatility.
Its arrival in India is not yet officially confirmed, but the global rollout is expected in 2027. If Hyundai introduces it in India, then hybrid technology, premium cabin and advanced connected features could be the key talking points of this new-generation Tucson.
