The Tata Aeris will be positioned in the sub-4-meter sedan segment, competing with cars like the Maruti Suzuki Dzire, Hyundai Aura, and Honda Amaze. However, its official price will only be revealed during the launch event today.

The Tata Aeris will feature a new exterior design
Official teasers and dealership images released ahead of the launch have revealed a significant amount of information about the Tata Aeris’ exterior design. It features slimmer LED headlamps and integrated LED DRLs compared to the Tigor. The front bumper also features a new design, featuring C-shaped elements and LED fog lamps.
The sedan’s familiar notchback-style silhouette is retained in the side profile, but it gets new alloy wheels and some revised body details. The rear features redesigned LED tail lamps and Aeris badging on the boot. Images from dealerships reveal the car’s overall design to be more modern.
Tata Aeris Interior and Features
The Tata Aeris’ cabin will also receive significant updates compared to the Tigor. The images reveal a redesigned dashboard with a free-standing touchscreen infotainment system and a digital instrument cluster. The cabin also features a two-tone treatment.
Some leaked/dealership images have also revealed features like wireless charging, steering-mounted controls, cruise control, and wireless smartphone connectivity. Safety features like six airbags, ABS with EBD, electronic stability control, and ISOFIX are expected, though Tata will officially confirm the full variant-wise equipment list today.

Tata Aeris Engine and CNG Option
Regarding the powertrain, reports suggest the Tata Aeris could continue to use the 1.2-liter naturally aspirated three-cylinder petrol engine from the current Tigor. In the Tigor, this engine produces 86 hp and 113 Nm in petrol mode and is available with a 5-speed manual and 5-speed AMT gearbox.
An iCNG version has also been confirmed for the Aeris. The CNG variant is expected to use the same 1.2-liter engine with CNG fuel. However, the exact output, mileage, and complete transmission lineup will be officially confirmed at launch.
Reports of an EV version with the Aeris nameplate have also surfaced, but Tata has not yet released official details regarding its battery capacity, range, motor output, or launch timing. Therefore, this should not be considered a confirmed launch specification.
Tata Aeris Price and Variants
Tata Motors has not yet revealed the official ex-showroom price of the Aeris. Current reports place it in the expected price bracket of around Rs. 6 lakh to Rs. 10 lakh, but this is only a guess, and the final price will be revealed today.
It is expected to be available with a petrol-to-CNG option and various transmission options. The exact variant lineup and pricing will be clearer after the launch.
