Tata Motors has launched the Tata Curvv Series X in India, priced between Rs. 10 lakh and Rs. 19 lakh (ex-showroom). With the new Series X range.
The company has reshuffled the Curvv’s variant lineup, with some features previously limited to higher variants now offered in lower and mid-spec variants.

In addition, Tata has also expanded the availability of the Dark Edition across the range, meaning buyers will now find more features and styling options at different price points of the Curvv. There are no major changes on the mechanical side, and the existing engine options have been retained.

Tata Curvv Series X Price: Starting at Rs 10 Lakh
The entry point to the new Curvv Series X lineup is the Smart X variant, which starts at Rs 10 lakh. This variant is available with a 1.2-liter turbo-petrol engine and a 6-speed manual gearbox.
The lineup includes the Pure X, Pure X+, Creative X+, Accomplished X, and top-spec Accomplished X+ variants. Tata has also introduced #DARK versions from the Pure X+ to higher variants.

Interestingly, the Smart X is Rs. 24,000 more expensive than the previous base variant. Tata has also reduced the price difference between the petrol and diesel variants from Rs. 1.5 lakh to Rs. 1.3 lakh.
The additional premium for the automatic gearbox has also been reduced from Rs. 1.5 lakh to Rs. 1.3 lakh.
Lower variants of the Curvv Series X will now also get more features
The biggest highlight of the Series X is its revised feature distribution. Tata has brought some important features from the higher variants to the lower and mid-spec versions.
The Curvv Series X comes with a 10.25-inch infotainment screen that supports wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. Features like automatic climate control, cruise control, and a rear-view camera are also available.
The cabin also features a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, a smart key with push-button start, front and rear USB ports, Wi-Fi connectivity, and multiple drive modes.
The main benefit of this update is that customers won’t need to upgrade to the top-spec variant to get useful features.

Tata Curvv Series X Interior Gets More Premium Feel
Tata has also made some changes to the cabin design. The Tata Curvv Series X features leatherette upholstery with a lighter interior theme. The steering wheel, gear-shift knob, and center-console armrest also have a leatherette finish.
Rear passengers get dedicated AC vents, a rear armrest, and reclining rear seats. Tata has also made changes to the seating layout.
The front seatbacks have been made 10mm slimmer, while the rear seats have been positioned 20mm back and 10mm lower. This is intended to improve available space and seating comfort for rear passengers.
Higher variants also get a panoramic sunroof, a 360-degree 3D surround-view camera, and a blind-view monitor. Front parking assist, rain-sensing wipers, and automatic headlamps are also part of the feature list.
For safety, the Curvv Series X comes with six airbags, ESP, hill-hold control, ABS with EBD, and rear parking sensors.
Tata Curvv Dark Edition Now in More Variants
Tata has also expanded the Dark Edition range with the Series X.
Dark versions are available with the Pure X+, Creative X+, and Accomplished X, while the top-spec Accomplished X+ also gets the #DARK treatment.
The Dark variants feature a blacked-out exterior, while the cabin gets an Obsidian-themed interior. The standard Curvv’s SUV-coupe design, flush door handles, LED lighting, and rear spoiler are continued.
The Series X range also features a black grille, a departure from the previous chrome finish. Depending on the variant, buyers can get 17-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels or larger 18-inch wheels.
Tata Curvv Series X Engine Options
On the mechanical front, Tata hasn’t made any major updates. The Curvv Series X continues with the existing three engine options.
The entry-level 1.2-liter turbo-petrol engine produces 120 hp and 170 Nm. It is paired with a 6-speed manual and a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox.
The next option is a 1.2-liter direct-injection turbo-petrol engine, which produces 125 hp and 225 Nm. This engine is available only in the top-spec Accomplished X+ variants and is offered with a 7-speed DCA.
Diesel buyers can choose from a 1.5-liter diesel engine that produces 118 hp and 260 Nm. This engine can be opted with a 6-speed manual or a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox.
That is, the changes in the Tata Curvv Series X are mainly focused on variants, features, pricing and styling, there are no major changes in the powertrain.
Tata Curvv Series X: What Has Changed?
In simple terms, Tata hasn’t made the Curvv a completely new model. The company has shifted features to lower variants to make the existing package more attractive and introduced the Dark Edition in more variants.
With a starting price of Rs. 10 lakh, the entry point of the Curvv Series X has been kept competitive. Changes have also been made to the price differences between the petrol, diesel, and automatic options.
