Mandalika MotoGP Practice LIVE: The 2026 Indonesian MotoGP weekend at the Mandalika International Circuit has faced another delay, with Friday’s MotoGP Practice session pushed back while the interrupted Moto2 session continued.

According to Crash.net’s latest live update, the MotoGP session was scheduled to start at 15:45 local time, although an earlier update had also mentioned 15:35. The revised start time was still awaiting confirmation in the latest update.

14:20 PM IST — Mandalika MotoGP Practice LIVE: Raul Fernandez Tops Practice, Aprilia Locks Out Top Three

Raul Fernandez topped Friday’s Indonesian MotoGP Practice at Mandalika with a fastest lap of 1:28.725s, finishing 0.219 seconds ahead of Marco Bezzecchi. Jorge Martin completed an Aprilia 1-2-3, while Pedro Acosta secured fourth place for KTM. Marc Marquez finished fifth, just ahead of Fabio Di Giannantonio.

Francesco Bagnaia climbed into the top 10 to secure direct entry into Q2, while Alex Rins finished 11th and will have to go through Q1. Fermin Aldeguer, who crashed earlier in the session, ended the practice in 15th place.

Alex Marquez crashed at Turn 16 in the closing stages of Mandalika MotoGP Practice but was reported to be fine. Alex Rins and Enea Bastianini also crashed, bringing out yellow flags and putting pressure on riders trying to secure a place inside the top 10.

Jorge Martin moved to the front of an Aprilia 1-2-3, ahead of title rival Marc Marquez. Pedro Acosta was the highest-placed non-Aprilia rider in fourth, sitting between Martin and Marc Marquez.

Francesco Bagnaia climbed to 10th place, pushing Alex Rins into the Qualifying 1 positions. With the session approaching its final stages, the battle to stay inside the top 10 remained tight.

Raul Fernandez leads the opening 15 minutes of MotoGP Practice at Mandalika with a lap time of 1:29.793. Marco Bezzecchi sits second, just 0.146 seconds behind, while Fabio Quartararo has moved Yamaha into third place, 0.364 seconds off the pace.

Pedro Acosta and Marc Marquez complete the top five. Quartararo and Alex Rins are among the riders using a soft rear tyre, while most of the field is running a soft front and medium rear combination.

Raul Fernandez has moved to the top of the timesheets with a lap in the 1m 29s range during MotoGP Practice at Mandalika. Fabio Quartararo and Alex Rins have also put Yamaha inside the top five, running third and fifth respectively. However, both Yamaha riders are using the soft rear tyre, while several rivals around them are on the medium compound.

Earlier, Fermin Aldeguer suffered his second crash of the day after a lowside at Turn 17 during the opening ten minutes of Practice. The rider was reported to be okay following the incident.


13:20 PM IST — Mandalika MotoGP Practice LIVE: Delayed Session Finally Begins

The delayed MotoGP Practice session finally got underway at 15:35 local time at the Mandalika International Circuit. The session began after repeated delays, with the FP1 results providing the early reference point for Friday’s running.
