Toyota Kirloskar Motor has launched the next-generation model of its popular lifestyle pickup truck in the Indian market. The 2026 Toyota Hilux is priced starting at Rs 31.99 lakh ex-showroom, while the top-spec variant goes up to Rs 36.69 lakh.

The new model comes with a bolder exterior, a completely redesigned cabin and several new premium features compared to its predecessor.
The company has also made a major change in the transmission lineup this time and the Hilux is offered only with an automatic gearbox.
Bookings have started across the country and deliveries will begin from the second week of August. In the lifestyle pickup segment, the 2026 Toyota Hilux will directly compete with the Isuzu V-Cross, while Mahindra’s Global Pickup could also intensify competition in this segment in the future.

Hilux Becomes More Muscular with New Design
Toyota has completely refreshed the front design of this generation Hilux while maintaining its overall character.
The first noticeable change is the new upright grille, where larger ‘TOYOTA’ lettering has replaced the traditional Toyota logo. Slimmer LED headlamps and a redesigned front bumper give the pickup a more aggressive appearance.
Black inserts in the front bumper, a silver skid plate, and new LED fog lamps further highlight the off-road personality.
The side profile features black wheel arch cladding, integrated side steps, electrically adjustable ORVMs, and new alloy wheels, adding a premium touch. In the rear section, vertically stacked LED tail lamps, bold TOYOTA lettering on the tailgate, and an integrated rear step improve practical usability.

The biggest mechanical update is that the manual gearbox has been removed from the lineup. This engine is now exclusively available with a 6-speed torque converter automatic transmission.
