Export market provided a significant boost

Honda’s biggest positive this time was its export business. The company exported 66,498 two-wheelers in July 2026, a 35.58% increase over the previous year.

Increased demand for Honda in markets like Asia, Africa, and Latin America led to a strong jump in export volume. Export growth, combined with the domestic market, also strengthened the company’s overall performance.

Over 21.54 lakh sales in the first four months of FY2026-27

Honda’s growth wasn’t limited to July alone. Between April and July of FY2026-27, the company sold over 21.54 lakh two-wheelers. This represents a growth of 13.97% compared to the same period in the previous financial year.

On average, Honda sold approximately 17,656 bikes and scooters every day during these four months. These figures indicate that the company’s sales momentum has remained consistently strong.

Focus on Flex Fuel and EV Segments

Honda is also aggressively pursuing alternative fuel technology alongside traditional petrol two-wheelers. The company’s ADV160 could be one of the country’s first Flex Fuel scooters, supporting ethanol-blended fuel.

Additionally, Honda is planning to expand its presence in the electric mobility segment. The company will target future demand with the QC1 electric scooter and new EV products.

Why was July 2026 significant for Honda?

July 2026’s performance is significant because the company recorded both year-on-year and month-on-month growth. Domestic demand remained stable, export business grew rapidly, and the upcoming product pipeline strengthened confidence in future growth.

Industry experts believe that if Honda continues to launch new products at this pace and maintains export momentum, FY2026-27 could be the company’s strongest financial year in recent years.

Auto India Daily Analysis
