Kawasaki has launched the MY27 Versys 650 in India at a price of Rs 8.63 lakh (ex-showroom). The new model only gets a colour update, while the engine, features and pricing remain the same as the previous model.

This time the company has given the bike a new Candy Lime Green colour, which is the only colour option available in the MY27 model.
No major updates have been made to the mechanical package. Kawasaki has carried forward the engine, chassis, features, and overall equipment from the MY26 model. Deliveries are also expected to begin by the end of August.

2027 Kawasaki Versys 650: Engine & Performance
The 2027 Kawasaki Versys 650 is powered by the same 649cc, liquid-cooled, parallel-twin engine. This motor produces 67 hp of maximum power at 8,500 rpm and 61 Nm of peak torque at 7,000 rpm.
The engine is paired with a 6-speed gearbox, and the motorcycle also features an assist-and-slipper clutch. This setup focuses on comfortable long-distance touring with outright performance.
The Versys 650’s parallel-twin engine offers a character suitable for highway cruising and touring, while the relatively upright riding position makes it practical for long rides.
2027 Kawasaki Versys 650: Chassis & Suspension
The chassis setup uses a tubular diamond frame. The front features a 41mm telescopic fork with 150mm of suspension travel.
The rear suspension setup features a monoshock with remote preload adjustability. The rear wheel has 145mm of travel.
Keeping its adventure-tourer positioning in mind, the bike has 170mm of ground clearance. This can be useful when tackling speed breakers and uneven surfaces on Indian roads.
The bike has a seat height of 845mm, so shorter riders should definitely consider seat height before handling the motorcycle.

Features & Technology
The 2027 Kawasaki Versys 650 features the same list as the MY26 model. The motorcycle features a 4.3-inch TFT instrument console that supports smartphone connectivity.
For safety and rider assistance, the bike comes with traction control and dual-channel ABS. A full-LED lighting setup and adjustable windscreen are also standard equipment.
The adjustable windscreen can be helpful in reducing wind blast during highway rides, while the TFT display clearly displays important motorcycle information.
21-Litre Fuel Tank & Weight
With long-distance touring in mind, the Versys 650 features a large 21-liter fuel tank. Based on Kawasaki’s claimed mileage figures, the bike offers a fuel efficiency figure of around 19.4 km/h.
The motorcycle’s kerb weight with a full fuel tank is 220 kg. This isn’t a lightweight adventure motorcycle, but it’s a segment leader focused on stability and touring comfort.
