Kawasaki has launched the 2027 Kawasaki Z650RS in India at a price of Rs. 7.83 lakh (ex-showroom). The new model-year motorcycle features no major mechanical updates compared to the previous version, and its neo-retro design, engine, and cycle parts are largely carried forward.

The Kawasaki Z650RS is known for its combination of a round LED headlamp, analogue-style twin-pod instrumentation, retro-inspired fuel tank, and modern parallel-twin engine. The 2027 model continues this formula.

2027 Kawasaki Z650RS: Engine and Performance
The 2027 Kawasaki Z650RS is powered by the same 649cc liquid-cooled parallel-twin engine. This engine develops a maximum power of 68 hp at 8,000 rpm and a peak torque of 64 Nm at 6,700 rpm.
The engine is paired with a 6-speed gearbox. Kawasaki Traction Control is also included in the motorcycle.

Same Chassis and Braking Hardware
The tubular diamond steel frame has been continued in the 2027 model. The suspension setup consists of a front telescopic fork and a rear horizontal back-link arrangement.
Braking system consists of twin 300mm discs at the front and a 220mm disc at the rear. The motorcycle comes with 120/70 front and 160/60 rear tires on 17-inch wheels.
Safety features like dual-channel ABS and Kawasaki Traction Control are also available.

800mm Seat Height and 192kg Weight
The overall size and weight of the 2027 Kawasaki Z650RS are also similar to the previous model. The bike has a seat height of 800mm, a wheelbase of 1,405mm, and a kerb weight of 192kg.
It features a 12-liter fuel tank, making the motorcycle a practical setup for everyday riding and occasional highway touring.
Neo-Retro Design Continues
In terms of design, Kawasaki has continued the familiar neo-retro look of the Z650RS. A round LED headlight, analogue-style speedometer, and tachometer are included, along with a multi-function LCD screen.
Spoke-style cast wheels, a slim horizontal tail section, and 1970s-inspired bodywork give the motorcycle a classic appearance, while modern LED lighting and electronics add a contemporary touch.

The 2027 Kawasaki Z650RS is priced at Rs 7.83 lakh ex-showroom in India. This is the same as the listed ex-showroom price of the 2026 model.
Kawasaki India’s current product listing also shows the Z650RS at Rs 7.83 lakh.

The 2027 Kawasaki Z650RS is a model-year carryover, with Kawasaki continuing the existing 649cc parallel-twin platform, neo-retro styling, and cycle parts. The price of Rs 7.83 lakh is also the same as the previous model.
The main focus of this update is on continuing the existing retro-modern package of the Z650RS rather than any major performance upgrades. Buyers get the familiar Z650RS package with a 68hp engine, traction control, dual-channel ABS and an 800mm seat height.
