Saudi Arabia is now establishing its presence not only in the oil industry but also in the automotive manufacturing field.
The country’s homegrown electric vehicle company, CEER, has officially unveiled its first production-bound models, the CEER EXOBOT sedan and CEER EXOBOT SUV. Both models are the starting point of CEER’s future product portfolio, which plans to introduce a total of seven vehicles by 2030.

EXOBOT was revealed at the CEER Manufacturing Complex located in Saudi Arabia’s King Abdullah Economic City. According to the company, vehicles in its future lineup will be produced at this manufacturing facility. CEER was established by Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund in partnership with Foxconn in 2022.

What is special about the CEER EXOBOT sedan & SUV?
CEER hasn’t limited the EXOBOT to a single body style. The range includes a futuristic sedan and a large SUV. Both vehicles were developed keeping in mind the extreme weather conditions of Saudi Arabia and the wider region.
The design uses sharp surfaces and a wedge-shaped profile, which CEER says is inspired by the Saudi landscape and Hegra’s traditional architecture. The sedan is 5.26 meters long, while the SUV is 5.02 meters long. Both are around 2.1 meters wide.
An unusual design element of the EXOBOT is its 2.4-meter-long windshield, which is positioned at a 15-degree inclination. It uses a heat-rejecting reflective coating to control solar heat inside the cabin in hot climates like Saudi Arabia.
The front and lighting design also highlight local identity. The EXOBOT features 32 signature light bars, representing 1932—the year associated with the unification of Saudi Arabia.
Power up to 1,111 HP, Tri-Motor AWD Setup
Performance is the most interesting part of the EXOBOT. The vehicle family is developed on a three-motor all-wheel-drive electric architecture.
The tri-motor setup in the initial EXOBOT First Edition generates 850 hp and 1,000 Nm of torque. This variant features a 112kWh battery pack and 800V electrical architecture. The sedan has a claimed range of up to 670km NEDC, while the SUV has a range of up to 560km NEDC.
Charging is also performance-focused. According to CEER, the battery can be charged from 10 to 80 percent in under 30 minutes.
A future higher-performance specification of the CEER EXOBOT will generate outputs of up to 1,111hp and 1,500Nm. 0-100kph acceleration is claimed to be 2.1 seconds for the sedan and 2.4 seconds for the SUV, while top speeds are 250kph and 210kph, respectively.
Special Cooling System for Saudi Heat
Saudi Arabia’s extreme temperatures were seriously considered when developing the EXOBOT. To address this, CEER developed a thermal management system called Halo Cooling.
According to the company’s controlled testing, the system can reduce cabin temperatures from 65°C to 32°C in just 10 minutes. This setup uses a combination of special heat-rejecting materials, triple silver-coated glass, optimized roof airflow, and front-rear air-conditioning systems.
This feature is particularly relevant in the Gulf region’s climate, where cabin temperatures in a parked car can be extremely high.
CEER EXOBOT: High-Tech Cabin with 48-Inch 8K Display
In the cabin, the EXOBOT features a significantly different approach from the traditional dashboard layout.
The most prominent feature is the 48-inch curved 8K Digital Horizon Display, positioned in a pillar-to-pillar layout on the dashboard. It is accompanied by a 10.4-inch central control screen and an 8-inch display for rear passengers.
The steering setup utilizes Steer-by-Wire technology, eliminating the traditional steering column. Rear-wheel steering is also available, designed to aid in both low-speed maneuvering and high-speed stability.
The EXOBOT also features a virtual voice assistant with Arabic and English language support. Functions such as checking charging status, cabin pre-conditioning, and remote parking can be accessed via a smartphone app. Vehicle software can be updated remotely via OTA updates.

CEER EXOBOT Range to Begin with First Edition
CEER will initially introduce the EXOBOT as a First Edition, after which the EXOBOT Plus variant will be added to the lineup.
The First Edition will be available in both sedan and SUV body styles. This version will feature an 850hp tri-motor AWD setup, a 112kWh battery, and exclusive exterior-interior specifications. Each First Edition vehicle will also feature a numbered plaque linked to the VIN.
CEER’s Manufacturing Plan
CEER will use its CEER Manufacturing Complex, located in King Abdullah Economic City, to produce the EXOBOT. The company’s long-term goal is to launch seven models by 2030, including compact and mid-size vehicles with different propulsion technologies.
CEER has also set a target of achieving 45 percent local content by 2034. According to the company’s projections, its operations could make a significant contribution to the Saudi economy, but these are future targets, not current achievements.

With the EXOBOT, CEER has not debuted a conventional entry-level EV. The company has introduced its first products in the form of a high-performance electric sedan and SUV, highlighting features such as output up to 1,111hp, 800V architecture, 112kWh battery, 48-inch 8K display and extreme-climate cooling.
The most interesting part is that the CEER EXOBOT is not just a new EV model, but also a flagship project of Saudi Arabia’s emerging automotive manufacturing ecosystem. It remains to be seen at what speed CEER expands its seven-model portfolio in the future and whether the brand establishes its presence outside the Saudi market.
