2026 MG Hector Storm Series: Blackstorm vs Snowstorm

The primary difference between the two 2026 MG Hector Storm Series models lies in their exterior color themes.
The Hector Blackstorm features a completely black exterior theme, giving the SUV an aggressive and stealthy appearance. The Hector Snowstorm, on the other hand, features a Pearl White body with a Starry Black roof, giving it a dual-tone look.
Both editions feature a new Storm Hex grille, updated front and rear bumper garnishes, and Aura Storm Blade alloy wheels. Red brake calipers create a contrasting look with the black-themed design.
In addition, the MG logos, skid plates, tailgate accents, and body-side cladding receive a dark chrome treatment. Piano-black roof rails, piano-black headlamp bezels, and smoked connected taillamps are also part of the Storm Series’ styling package.
Black-Themed Interior Gets Special Details
Inside the cabin, MG has also attempted to distinguish the Storm Series from the regular Hector. Both editions feature all-black leather upholstery with a Nimbus Black interior theme.
The front headrests feature edition-specific BLACKSTORM or SNOWSTORM embossing, while the leather-wrapped steering wheel has a gunmetal finish.

MG is also offering an exclusive accessory package for the Storm Series. This package includes edition-specific badges, a red tailgate accent, fog-lamp eye shadows with red detailing, ORVM protectors, and side step boards. According to the company, this package can be fitted at dealerships at no additional cost.
14-Inch Touchscreen and 70+ Connected Features
Speaking of the feature list, the 2026 MG Hector Storm Series continues the Hector’s familiar technology package. The SUV features a 14-inch HD portrait-oriented touchscreen infotainment system with Smart Boost technology and i-SWIPE gesture controls.
MG’s i-SMART connected-car system offers over 70 connected features. This includes functions like a digital Bluetooth key with key sharing, remote air-conditioning control, and predictive maintenance alerts.
The SUV also comes with features like a digital instrument cluster, a panoramic sunroof, eight-color ambient lighting, a powered tailgate, a PM2.5 air purifier, rain-sensing wipers, and a 360-degree camera with Wheel View.

ADAS and Safety Features Also Available

For safety, the Hector’s existing safety package has been continued in the 2026 MG Hector Storm Series. Features like ADAS, 360-degree HD camera, ABS with EBD, Electronic Stability Program, Traction Control, Hill Hold Control, and Brake Assist are available.
Both Storm editions are offered in five-seater configurations.
1.5-Liter Turbo Petrol Engine
On the mechanical front, the Blackstorm and Snowstorm do not receive any major updates. Both models are powered by a 1.5-liter turbocharged petrol engine that produces 143 PS of power and 250 Nm of torque.
The engine is paired with a CVT automatic transmission. Therefore, the Storm Series focuses on styling, exclusivity, and premium equipment rather than performance upgrades.
2026 MG Hector Storm Series Price
The prices of both limited-edition models have remained the same:
| Model | Ex-Showroom Price |
|---|---|
| MG Hector Blackstorm | Rs. 19,99,800 |
| MG Hector Snowstorm | Rs. 19,99,800 |
MG is also offering up to 100% on-road financing for the Storm Series, with a loan tenure of up to 84 months.
MG Shield Warranty Package
To enhance the ownership experience, MG is also offering the Storm Series with the 3+3+3 package. This includes a three-year, unlimited-kilometer warranty, three years of roadside assistance, and three labor-free periodic services.
Auto India Daily Verdict
In the 2026 MG Hector Storm Series, MG has focused on styling and exclusivity rather than mechanical changes. The all-black theme of the Blackstorm and the white-black combination of the Snowstorm clearly differentiate both from the regular Hector.
With identical pricing of Rs. 19.99 lakh ex-showroom, buyers’ decisions will largely depend on styling preference. For buyers who want an aggressive all-black look, the Blackstorm is an interesting option, while the Snowstorm’s Pearl White and Starry Black combination offers a comparatively more contrast-heavy appearance.
Overall, the Storm Series gives the SUV a more distinctive limited-edition identity while retaining the Hector’s existing turbo-petrol, CVT and technology package.
