According to Jaguar, the Type 01 has been developed as the brand’s most powerful, aerodynamic, and technically advanced road car to date. The car uses 850V electrical architecture and can add around 321km of range in just 13 minutes via a 350kW DC fast charger.

Jaguar Type 01 Gets 1,030PS Tri-Motor Powertrain
For performance, the Jaguar Type 01 is powered by a three-motor electric setup. Officially, maximum output is 1,030PS and 1,365Nm, placing this luxury GT among the most powerful production road cars in the Jaguar lineup.
According to Jaguar’s official figures, the Type 01 can complete the 0-62mph sprint, or around 0-100kmph, in 3.2 seconds. Despite its performance, the company hasn’t developed the car solely for straight-line speed, but rather with a high-speed GT character in mind.

Type 01 Design Is Very Different From Old Jaguars

Production is due to start in 2027 at JLR’s Solihull facility, while electric drive units and battery packs will be manufactured in Wolverhampton and pressed body panels in Halewood, Merseyside.
Jaguar has confirmed that orders for the Type 01 will open in early 2027, and first customer deliveries are expected in the second half of 2027. The official starting price is set at £130,000.
