This time, the focus of the 2026 Toyota Glanza facelift is unlikely to be limited to cosmetic changes. Features like the 1.2-litre three-cylinder Z12E petrol engine and Level 2 ADAS introduced in the updated Baleno are also expected for the Glanza. However, Toyota has not yet officially confirmed all these updates.

According to Toyota’s teaser, the facelifted Glanza will feature a revised front grille with a mesh-style pattern. The Toyota badge has been removed from the grille and repositioned on the front edge of the bonnet. The front bumper has also been updated, with the lower section expected to feature a revised garnish and hexagonal-pattern air intake.

Another noticeable change could be rectangular fog lamps, which will replace the circular units from the outgoing model. The headlamp design and LED daytime running lights are expected to remain largely unchanged, although final details will only be confirmed after the official reveal.

Limited information is currently available regarding the side profile and rear design. The facelift’s major styling changes may be concentrated in the front section, while the overall silhouette and body proportions are likely to remain similar to the current model.

Major updates may be found in the interior and features

The cabin layout of the 2026 Toyota Glanza facelift is expected to remain largely familiar, but the equipment list could receive meaningful upgrades. The updated Baleno indicates that features like ventilated front seats, a cooled wireless charging pad, and a branded audio system could also appear in Toyota’s new model.

Higher variants of the current Glanza offer features like a 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a head-up display, automatic climate control, and a 360-degree camera. While these features will continue in the facelift, variant-wise equipment distribution may change.

The most interesting possibility is Level 2 ADAS. The updated Baleno introduced driver-assistance features like adaptive cruise control, emergency braking, lane-keeping assistance, forward collision warning, and automatic high-beam assistance. If Toyota offers a similar system in the Glanza facelift, its safety-tech package could be quite competitive in the premium hatchback segment.

For now, ADAS and new comfort features should be considered expected. Toyota’s official variant-wise feature list will clarify the final picture only after launch.

2026 Toyota Glanza Facelift Engine & Mileage Expectations

The current Glanza is powered by a 1.2-liter, four-cylinder K12N petrol engine. With the facelift, Toyota may replace this engine with the updated Baleno’s 1.2-litre, three-cylinder Z12E naturally aspirated petrol engine.

This engine produces 83 bhp and 112.4 Nm of torque in the 2026 Baleno. It comes with five-speed manual and AGS automatic transmission options. The 2026 Toyota Glanza facelift is also likely to feature similar powertrain and gearbox combinations, but final specifications are still pending from Toyota.

Fuel efficiency could be an important aspect of the engine change. The updated Baleno’s claimed figures are 23.80 kmpl for the five-speed manual and 24.77 kmpl for the AGS automatic. The Glanza’s figures may be similar, but these numbers should not be taken as Toyota’s confirmed mileage claims.

The CNG option is also expected to continue. The updated Baleno offers a factory-fitted CNG version with the Z12E engine, but it is not yet confirmed whether the Glanza facelift will get a CNG-AMT combination.

2026 Toyota Glanza Facelift Expected Price

The current Toyota Glanza petrol range ranges from Rs. 6.73 lakh to Rs. 9.99 lakh, while CNG variants are listed at Rs. 8.49 lakh and Rs. 9.53 lakh. All prices are ex-showroom.

Prices may increase if the facelift receives styling and equipment upgrades. Toyota is also expected to continue with the E, S, G and V variant structure, but the revised variant lineup and exact pricing is expected to be announced at the time of launch.

Beyond the Headlines: What’s Important for Buyers?

The real impact of the 2026 Toyota Glanza facelift will depend on whether Toyota updates only the front styling or also offers engine and safety upgrades like the Baleno. If features like the Z12E engine, improved claimed efficiency, and Level 2 ADAS are added, the facelift could become a more technology-focused option for existing buyers.

But engine replacement doesn’t automatically mean better performance. The updated Baleno’s three-cylinder engine focuses on efficiency and revised driving characteristics, while the outgoing Glanza’s four-cylinder unit offers a different power delivery. Therefore, buyers should compare mileage claims with actual driving experience and variant-wise equipment.

Auto India Daily Verdict

The 2026 Toyota Glanza facelift launches tomorrow, and the key will be to what extent Toyota adopts the Baleno’s mechanical and feature updates. Teasers have revealed the revised grille and fog lamps, but we’ll have to wait for official confirmation on the new engine, Level 2 ADAS, CNG-AMT, and final prices.
