2027 Hero Xtreme 160R 4V Sharper Design & New Color Options

The 2027 Hero Xtreme 160R 4V features a revised fuel tank design, new tank extensions, and a sharper bikini fairing. The rear seat cowl has also received design changes, giving the motorcycle a sportier overall look.
Hero has also introduced new color options for the variants. The standard variant is available in Firestorm Red and Pearl Black shades. The Pro variant comes in Pro Red and Pro Black options, while the Carbon variant comes in Carbon Red, Carbon Black, Carbon Grey, and Abrax Orange colors.
Apart from the design updates, the motorcycle’s overall streetfighter character remains the same. Its focus is on combining sporty styling and everyday usability in the 160cc segment.
2027 Hero Xtreme 160R 4V Engine and Performance
The 2027 Hero Xtreme 160R 4V continues to be powered by a 164.32cc, oil-cooled, four-valve engine. According to detailed specifications, the engine produces 17.1 hp at 8,750 rpm and 14.6 Nm of torque at 6,500 rpm. Power is transmitted to the rear wheel via a five-speed gearbox.
The engine hasn’t received any major mechanical overhauls. Therefore, the updated model’s main focus is on styling and features, rather than any major performance transformations.
Kerb weight is now 149 kg, 1.5 kg more than the previous model’s 147.5 kg. Seat height has increased to 805 mm, 2 mm more than before. These changes are minor, but buyers should experience the seating comfort and low-speed handling during a test ride.

TFT Display, Cruise Control, and New Technology

The most noticeable technology upgrade on the 2027 Hero Xtreme 160R 4V is the Carbon variant’s new 4.2-inch TFT instrument cluster. It features Bluetooth connectivity and a Race Timer. The Race Timer has two modes: one for measuring 0-60kph acceleration time and one for recording quarter-mile drag timing.
The Standard and Pro variants continue to feature an LCD instrument display. So, if a TFT screen is a priority, the Carbon variant is worth considering.
The Pro and Carbon variants also feature ride-by-wire throttle, cruise control, and three riding modes—Rain, Road, and Sport. Cruise control helps maintain the set speed during highway riding, while riding modes are provided to adapt throttle response to different conditions.
Features such as a panic brake alert function and a USB Type-C charging socket are also highlighted in the updated motorcycle. The purpose of the panic brake alert is to warn of oncoming traffic during sudden braking.
2027 Hero Xtreme 160R 4V Suspension & Braking Hardware
Suspension setup varies depending on the variant. The standard variant features a telescopic front fork, while the Pro and Carbon variants feature a 37mm KYB USD front fork. The rear retains the monoshock suspension, with preload adjustment on the Pro and Carbon variants.
Braking hardware includes a 276mm disc at the front and a 220mm disc at the rear. The Standard variant comes with single-channel ABS, while the Pro and Carbon get dual-channel ABS. Lift-off protection is also part of the feature list on higher variants.
Therefore, for buyers seeking safety and suspension upgrades, the Pro variant offers a more comprehensive package than the Standard. The Carbon’s additional advantage is a TFT instrument cluster.
Auto India Daily Verdict
The 2027 Hero Xtreme 160R 4V update is relevant for buyers who want modern convenience features along with a sporty 160cc motorcycle. The Standard variant starts at Rs. Prices start at Rs. 1.27 lakh, but for upgrades like ride-by-wire, cruise control, and a USD front fork, you’ll have to look at the Pro or Carbon variants.
The Carbon variant’s TFT display and Race Timer make it the technology-focused option in the lineup. The final choice will depend on budget, required features, and riding needs. If you need cruise control and dual-channel ABS, the Pro variant can be a practical middle ground; if a TFT display is also a priority, the Carbon would be worth considering.
