The Honda Rebel 300 follows a low-slung cruiser layout, with a low seat height and a relatively long wheelbase. The E-Clutch option adds automated clutch operation for everyday riding while retaining the conventional gear lever for gear selection.

Honda Rebel 300 Engine and Gearbox

Powering both versions is a 286.01cc, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine that produces 27.6bhp at 8,000rpm and 24.5Nm of peak torque at 6,250rpm. The engine is paired with a six-speed gearbox.
The standard variant uses an assist and slipper clutch, while the E-Clutch version gets Honda’s electronic clutch technology. It automates clutch operation during starts, stops and gear changes, allowing riders to shift gears using the conventional gear lever without manually operating the clutch in those situations.
Since both variants share the same engine and power figures, the E-Clutch version’s main advantage is added convenience rather than increased performance.
Honda Rebel 300 Features and Safety
The Rebel 300 comes equipped with an LED projector headlamp and a TFT instrument cluster with Honda RoadSync Bluetooth connectivity. The system supports turn-by-turn navigation, while a USB Type-C charging port allows riders to charge compatible devices.
Dual-channel ABS is standard on both versions. The listed equipment remains the same across the standard and E-Clutch variants, with the electronic clutch system distinguishing the more expensive model.
Honda Rebel 300 Dimensions and Hardware

The motorcycle measures 2,200mm in length, 808mm in width and 1,125mm in height. It has a 1,506mm wheelbase and a seat height of 690mm, which should make it approachable for riders who prefer a low seating position.
Suspension duties are handled by telescopic front forks and twin rear shock absorbers. The Rebel 300 rides on a 130/90-16 front tyre and a 150/80-16 rear tyre.
One specification that deserves attention is its 129mm ground clearance. This could require extra care while crossing tall speed breakers or negotiating uneven roads, particularly on routes with abrupt surface changes.

Honda Rebel 300 Price: Is the E-Clutch Worth It?
The standard Honda Rebel 300 is priced at Rs. 2.22 lakh, while the E-Clutch version costs Rs. 2.62 lakh. This puts the price difference at Rs. 40,000. The E-Clutch model is also 3kg heavier, with both versions retaining the same engine output, fuel tank capacity and core equipment.
For riders who are comfortable operating a conventional clutch, the standard variant offers the same listed performance and hardware at a lower price. The E-Clutch version may appeal to those who want to reduce the effort involved in repeated clutch operation, especially in stop-and-go traffic.
Auto India Daily Verdict
The Honda Rebel 300’s low 690mm seat height and cruiser ergonomics are key highlights, while its 286.01cc engine delivers identical output in both variants. The E-Clutch option adds convenience, but buyers need to decide whether that feature justifies spending an extra Rs. 40,000.
The 129mm ground clearance is another important consideration for Indian road conditions. Before making a decision, buyers should weigh the convenience of the electronic clutch against the price premium and the motorcycle’s limited clearance over tall speed breakers.
