Hyundai Bayon Launch Today: Expected Price in India
The Hyundai Bayon’s expected ex-showroom price could be between ₹9.5 lakh and ₹15.5 lakh. This is an estimated range, not an official price list. If pricing falls within this range, the Bayon could target buyers who want an SUV more premium than the Venue and positioned differently from the Creta.
Leaked information mentions trims such as the HX2, HX4, HX6, HX8, and HX10, but final variant names and their feature-wise differences will need to be confirmed from Hyundai’s official price list. The SUV could compete directly with models like the Maruti Suzuki Victorias.
Hyundai Bayon Delivery Date
Hyundai has confirmed that deliveries of the Bayon will begin during the festive season. Some reports expect deliveries to begin around Diwali, the first week of November, but the exact date should not be considered final until official confirmation.
Customers can make a booking by paying Rs. 11,000. Bookings can be made through Hyundai’s official website or authorized dealerships. The actual delivery waiting period may depend on the selected variant, color, and dealership.
Dimensions and Boot Space

The Bayon is positioned between the Venue and Creta in Hyundai’s SUV range. According to leaked specifications, the SUV is expected to measure 4,245 mm in length, 1,810 mm in width, and 1,605 mm in height. Its wheelbase is reported to be 2,600 mm, ground clearance 205 mm, and boot space 505 liters. These figures should be verified in the final India-spec brochure.
If these dimensions are confirmed in the final specifications, the Bayon will focus on family use, luggage capacity, and daily driving practicality.

Engine and Transmission Options
Hyundai has confirmed a 1.5-liter, four-cylinder MPi naturally aspirated petrol engine for the Bayon. This engine produces a maximum power of 115 PS and a peak torque of approximately 144 Nm. Transmission options include a 6-speed manual and Intelligent Variable Transmission (iVT) automatic.
The automatic variant features Dash Boost Mode and Sporty Drive Tech, which are designed to improve responsiveness during overtaking. Paddle shifters and Eco, Normal, and Sport drive modes will also be available. This combination focuses more on smooth city driving and relaxed highway cruising than outright performance.
Features and Interior Technology

The Hyundai Bayon’s cabin comes with dual 12.3-inch curved panoramic displays. One display is for the infotainment system and the other for the digital instrument cluster. The SUV will also feature a generative AI voice assistant, Hyundai Bluelink connected-car technology, and vehicle controller over-the-air (C-OTA) updates. According to Hyundai, the Bluelink suite includes over 70 connected features.
Expected comfort equipment includes ventilated front seats, a powered driver’s seat, automatic climate control, a 360-degree surround-view camera, power-folding ORVMs, and an electric sunroof. Variant-wise availability of these features must be confirmed in the official brochure.
Safety Features and ADAS
Hyundai has highlighted the Level 2 Pro ADAS package for the Bayon. This includes driver assistance functions such as Adaptive Cruise Control, Lane Keep Assist, and Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist. Six airbags are also said to be standard on the SUV, along with safety features such as Electronic Stability Control, Hill Start Assist, ABS with EBD, and ISOFIX child-seat anchorages.
ADAS and active safety technology can provide additional assistance to the driver in everyday traffic and highway driving, but they are not a replacement for driver attention.
Auto India Daily Verdict
Hyundai Bayon Launch Today: The Hyundai Bayon’s appeal lies in its combination of a 1.5-liter petrol engine, manual and IVT options, a dual-screen cabin, connected technology, and advanced driver assistance features. Its final competitiveness will largely depend on pricing and variant-wise equipment.
If the entry-level variant is competitively priced and important safety features are well-proportioned, the Bayon could become an interesting option in Hyundai’s SUV portfolio. The final verdict will have to await the official price list, variant breakdown, and delivery confirmation.
