The proposed EV will be developed around accessibility, safety, comfort and ease of use, with the company aiming to create a more inclusive mobility solution.

The initiative was announced on September 17, 2026, and OSM said the vehicle will follow a human-centric development approach. The company plans to understand the practical mobility requirements of users and involve relevant experts and stakeholders during the development process.

OSM EV Development Focused on Accessibility
According to Omega Seiki Mobility, the proposed EV will be designed with the specific requirements of persons with disabilities at the center of the development process.
The company said key areas of focus will include accessibility, safety, comfort, convenience and ease of use. The broader objective is to develop a mobility solution that can provide greater independence in everyday transportation.
Unlike a conventional EV development program focused primarily on performance or range, OSM says this project will place user requirements at the center of the design process.

OSM plans to engage with users, experts and other relevant stakeholders while developing the vehicle. This could help the company identify practical challenges faced by persons with disabilities during everyday mobility.

OSM Founder Uday Narang on the Initiative
Dr. Uday Narang, Founder and Chairman of Omega Seiki Mobility, said the company believes mobility should provide independence and dignity rather than simply transportation.
He said the initiative is intended to use technology, engineering and innovation to create a practical mobility solution around the real-world requirements of persons with disabilities.
OSM has also said the project is being dedicated to Prime Minister Narendra Modi on his birthday as a reflection of the company’s stated focus on inclusive development and sustainable mobility.

At this stage, Omega Seiki Mobility has not announced a launch date for the specially designed EV. The company has only confirmed that the design and development process has begun.
