Jawa 42 Gets New Bodywork and Fatter Tires

The 2026 update brings revised front and rear fenders, along with updated side covers. The motorcycle also receives fresh body graphics, visually aligning it with other models in the All Stars family.

The exhaust system has also undergone a noticeable change. The 42 now features a dual upswept exhaust design, seemingly inspired by the 42 FJ. The alloy wheels also receive a new design.

The tires have also been noticeably wider. It features a 100/90-18 tire at the front and a 150/70-17 tire at the rear. In comparison, the outgoing model came with a 90/90 front and 120/80 rear tire setup. Wider rubber should give the motorcycle a more substantial stance on the road.

Weight Reduced by Around 7-9 kg

A major update to the 2026 Jawa 42 All Stars Edition is its reduced kerb weight. The new model has a kerb weight of 175 kg, while the outgoing motorcycle weighed approximately in the 182-184 kg range.

The weight reduction has been accompanied by a slight increase in seat height. The seat height now stands at 795 mm, compared to the previous 788 mm. Jawa has also made tweaks to the saddle, aimed at improving riding comfort.

The suspension hardware remains unchanged, while the basic disc brake setup remains. However, dual-channel ABS is now standard equipment.

Fuel tank capacity is also unchanged, with the motorcycle featuring a 13.2-liter tank.

On the mechanical front, the existing 295cc engine has been retained in the Jawa 42 All Stars Edition. This liquid-cooled single-cylinder motor produces 26.8 bhp and 26.3 Nm of peak torque.

The engine is paired with a 6-speed gearbox. Jawa hasn’t made any major increases in engine output for the All Stars Edition, so the updated 42 focuses on styling, weight, and equipment improvements rather than performance upgrades.

Deliveries Start From September 15

Deliveries of 2026 Jawa 42 All Stars Edition are scheduled to start from September 15, 2026. Its positioning has been kept above the standard 42, with additional colours, updated body components, wider tires and standard dual-channel ABS.

Rs. With a starting price of Rs 1.85 lakh, the new 42 All Stars Edition maintains a relatively accessible entry point in Jawa’s lineup, while the top All Stars Black variant starts at Rs. It goes up to Rs 1.90 lakh.

Auto India Daily Verdict

The 2026 Jawa 42 All Stars Edition is not a cosmetic-only special edition. New body panels, upswept exhausts, wider tyres, lighter curb weight and standard dual-channel ABS make the update more substantial than the outgoing motorcycle.

Despite the engine output remaining unchanged, the 175 kg kerb weight and fatter tyres can make a noticeable difference to the motorcycle’s road presence and riding character.

If you like the classic design of the Jawa 42 and want better equipment along with the latest styling, the All Stars Edition makes for a more interesting package compared to the standard 42.
