Royal Enfield is aggressively working on its upcoming 750cc motorcycle range, and the latest indication comes from a near-production test mule spotted in Chennai.
Multiple prototypes of the company’s upcoming multi-cylinder bikes have been spotted testing before, but the motorcycle spotted this time appears to have a fully faired cafe racer-like setup.

This upcoming motorcycle is currently being called the New Royal Enfield GTR 750, although the company has not officially confirmed this name. The bike could be based on a larger 750cc platform while retaining the sporty character of the existing Continental GT 650.

New Royal Enfield GTR 750 Gets Full Fairing
The most noticeable detail of the latest test mule is its full fairing setup. The fairing surrounds the circular headlight and also provides an integrated flyscreen, which could be useful in improving wind protection at highway speeds.
Interestingly, the fairing doesn’t completely cover the engine. This maintains the motorcycle’s cafe-racer character, while the overall silhouette appears noticeably sportier than the current Continental GT 650.
The clip-on handlebars on the test bike also indicate the expected riding position. If this setup is retained in the production model, the GTR 750’s riding posture could be more committed and performance-focused than the Continental GT 650.
Twin Exhausts and Dual Front Disc Brakes
The prototype features twin exhaust pipes on both sides, complementing the character of the motorcycle’s larger parallel-twin engine. A matte-black finish can also be seen on the engine and exhaust components.
The most significant upgrade in braking hardware is a dual-disc setup at the front. This could help handle the larger 750cc motorcycle’s additional performance potential. The single-disc setup at the rear is expected to continue, while dual-channel ABS could be part of standard equipment.
Alloy wheels and bar-end mirrors are also visible on the motorcycle, giving it a more premium and sporty appearance.

The GTR 750 Could Share Its Platform With the New GT 750
Royal Enfield’s upcoming 750cc family is expected to include not just one motorcycle, but multiple body styles. Test mules of models like the Himalayan 750 and Continental GT 750 have already garnered attention, while this faired version could be a sportier interpretation of those underpinnings.
The non-faired version is likely to be named Continental GT 750, although this has not been officially confirmed. If the GTR 750 enters production, it could be positioned above the current GT 650 in Royal Enfield’s modern cafe-racer portfolio.
Expected 750cc Parallel-Twin Engine
Royal Enfield’s new 750cc parallel-twin engine is expected in the upcoming motorcycle. According to reports, this could be a bored-out development of the current 650cc twin-cylinder motor.
The current 650cc engine produces around 47bhp and 52Nm, while the upcoming 750cc unit is expected to produce approximately 50-55bhp and 60Nm-plus torque. The engine is expected to continue with a 6-speed gearbox.
However, Royal Enfield has not yet officially revealed the GTR 750’s exact engine specifications, output, or final mechanical configuration.
New Royal Enfield GTR 750 Expected Features and Hardware
The production-spec GTR 750 is expected to feature a combination of traditional cafe-racer hardware with modern features. Expected equipment could include dual-channel ABS, a slipper clutch, LED lighting, tubeless tires, clip-on handlebars, and twin rear shocks.
RSU telescopic forks are expected for the front suspension, while a twin-shock setup may continue at the rear. A twin-pod instrument cluster is also visible on the test mule.
If Royal Enfield integrates its Tripper navigation system into this motorcycle, features like Bluetooth connectivity and turn-by-turn navigation may also be added. This is currently unconfirmed.
New Royal Enfield GTR 750 Launch Timeline
Royal Enfield has not yet announced an official launch date for the GTR 750. However, the increasingly frequent appearance of near-production test mules indicates that development has reached a fairly advanced stage.
The motorcycle could be introduced as a production version by the end of 2026 or in 2027. Exact timeline will be confirmed after the company’s official announcement.
