The specifications of the CFMoto V4SR-RR show the potential to bring it into competition with established litre-class superbikes. Its 90-degree V4 engine produces over 207 bhp and can rev up to 15,000 rpm.
But the most interesting technology of this motorcycle is its active aerodynamic system, which uses independently adjustable aerodynamic elements instead of fixed winglets.

CFMoto V4SR-RR Engine: 997cc V4 Produces Over 207 Bhp

The CFMoto V4SR-RR is powered by a 997cc, 90-degree V4 engine. This powerplant was developed in-house by the company and produces over 207 bhp. The engine can rev up to 15,000 rpm, highlighting its high-performance character.
This engine uses a counter-rotating crankshaft and titanium connecting rods. The counter-rotating crankshaft is an important element of the racing-focused engine design, while the titanium connecting rods are part of the high-performance engineering package.
CFMoto claims the motorcycle’s weight to be 180 kg. With this power and weight combination, the V4SR-RR’s power-to-weight ratio falls into liter-class superbike territory. The company has not yet disclosed the engine’s torque output and detailed performance figures.

Active Winglets Are the Biggest Highlight
The CFMoto V4SR-RR most distinctive technology is its active aerodynamic system. Conventional superbikes use fixed winglets, but CFMoto has introduced independently operated aerodynamic elements that can adjust their position.
According to the company, this system can increase front-wheel downforce by up to 20 percent compared to fixed winglets just before braking at speeds of up to 160 kmph. Its objective is to improve front-end stability and aerodynamic performance during high-speed braking.

CFMoto says that at higher speeds the winglets can also operate asymmetrically. This can provide aerodynamic assistance to the motorcycle when changing direction. This technology makes the V4SR-RR one of the most technically interesting superbike showcases at EICMA 2026.
Ohlins Suspension, Brembo Brakes, and Akrapovic Exhaust
CFMoto has also used premium components in the V4SR-RR’s mechanical package. The motorcycle features an Ohlins suspension setup, while braking duties are handled by Brembo Hypure Sport brake calipers.
In addition, the bike runs on Pirelli Diablo Supercorsa SP V4 tires. The exhaust system features an Akrapovic full-titanium setup, completing its performance-focused hardware package.
The V4SR-RR also features a patented adjustable frame reinforcement system. Its inclusion highlights CFMoto’s focus on chassis engineering. However, the company has not yet provided a detailed explanation of this system’s adjustment mechanism and its exact benefits depending on riding conditions.
CFMoto V4SR-RR Carbon Black: A Track-Focused Version
Along with the standard V4SR-RR, CFMoto also showcased the V4SR-RR Carbon Black at EICMA 2026. This version gives the standard motorcycle’s design a more aggressive, track-focused treatment.
The Carbon Black variant features an all-black finish and extensive carbon-fiber bodywork. Its most notable mechanical difference is the STM dry slipper clutch, which the company says is derived from MotoGP racing technology.

However, it would be inaccurate to consider the Carbon Black a road-going production variant. According to CFMoto’s showcase, it is a showbike and not homologated for road use. Therefore, it should be considered a track-focused showcase version of the standard V4SR-RR.
Could the CFMoto V4SR-RR Challenge Established Superbike Brands?
The CFMoto V4SR-RR’s specifications clearly showcase the company’s premium superbike ambitions. A 997cc V4 engine, over 207 bhp of power, a 15,000rpm rev limit, and active aerodynamics make it an interesting new entry in the high-performance segment.
Its active winglet system is particularly noteworthy, as the adjustable aerodynamic elements offer a different technology from the conventional fixed-winglet approach. Components like Ohlins suspension, Brembo brakes, Pirelli tires, and an Akrapovic titanium exhaust also strengthen its hardware package.
CFMoto has not yet announced the V4SR-RR’s production timeline, pricing, or international market availability. Therefore, its actual market positioning and performance comparisons against established superbikes will require further details.
Auto India Daily Verdict
The CFMoto V4SR-RR is a major superbike reveal for EICMA 2026. Its 997cc V4 engine and active aerodynamic system indicate that CFMoto no longer wants to limit itself to value-focused motorcycles, but also wants to establish its engineering capabilities in the high-end performance segment.
The Carbon Black edition’s dry slipper clutch and carbon-fiber bodywork make it even more interesting, although it is not yet a road-legal production motorcycle. All eyes will now be on when CFMoto brings the V4SR-RR into production and what its final specifications and pricing will be.
