Vida VX2 Go FB Launched at Rs 1.13 Lakh With 128 km Range & Fixed Battery

Hero MotoCorp’s electric mobility brand Vida has expanded its VX2 lineup by launching the Vida VX2 Go FB in the Indian market.

The ex-showroom price of the new variant has been kept at Rs 1.13 lakh and its biggest feature is the use of a 3.1 kWh fixed battery pack instead of a removable battery.

The company believes that this variant has been developed keeping in mind those buyers who want a direct charging solution at home or office and do not feel the need for a removable battery.

With the launch of the new variant, the Vida VX2 lineup has become even more comprehensive. Customers will now be able to choose from a variety of battery options based on their charging needs and budget.

What’s the Vida VX2 Go FB’s biggest highlight?

The 3.1 kWh fixed battery pack on the new Go FB variant differentiates it from existing removable battery variants.

This battery doesn’t need to be removed from the scooter, as it comes with direct charging support. This setup can be quite convenient for users if a charging point is available at home or in a parking area.

Powering the battery, the scooter is the same 6 kW swingarm-mounted electric motor that is also found in other variants of the VX2 range.

According to the company, the scooter can reach a top speed of 70 kmph and its performance is designed to be practical for daily city commuting.

Practical Urban Scooter with a Claimed Range of 128 km

Vida claims that the VX2 Go FB can deliver an IDC-certified claimed riding range of up to 128 km on a single full charge.

This range is more than the entry-level 2.2 kWh battery variant of the VX2 Go and slightly less than the 3.4 kWh battery variant. Thus, Hero has added an option to its lineup that attempts to strike a balance between performance and affordability.

This claimed range is quite practical for users who commute to work, college, or ride in the city daily. Real-world riding range may vary depending on riding style, traffic conditions, and weather.

Charging Flexibility

Despite the fixed battery, Hero has also focused on charging convenience. The scooter supports direct charging via a standard wall socket and can also be used for DC fast charging if needed.

According to the company, charging the battery from 0 to 80 percent with a DC fast charger takes approximately 65 minutes. This allows for a sufficient battery recharge even during office or short breaks.

No compromises on features

The Vida VX2 Go FB is not only innovative in its battery configuration, but also offers a good package in its category. The scooter features a 4.3-inch LCD instrument cluster that supports smartphone connectivity.

It also offers turn-by-turn navigation, which can prove very useful during city riding.

The scooter features 27.2 liters of under-seat storage, which can easily accommodate a helmet or daily essentials. The long, single-piece seat is designed with comfort in mind for both rider and pillion.
