The Toyota Innova Hycross facelift has once again been spotted testing on Indian roads. The latest heavily camouflaged test mule clearly shows that the company is preparing noticeable changes to the front and rear styling of the popular MPV.
The 2027 Toyota Innova Hycross Facelift is expected to hit the market in early 2027.

2027 Toyota Innova Hycross Facelift: What will change?
The test vehicle in the latest spy shots is covered in heavy camouflage, so the exact production design is not yet confirmed. However, the most noticeable changes are expected in the front fascia, based on previous prototypes.
SUV-Inspired Front Design

Toyota may bring the facelifted Hycross closer to the latest global design language. Test mules show:
- Revised and more upright front fascia
- New grille design
- Slimmer headlamp elements
- Updated projector lighting
- Redesigned front bumper
- New lower air-intake treatment
There are indications of such changes. The front-end treatment may be more SUV-inspired than the current MPV.
2027 Toyota Innova Hycross Facelift: Rear Profile Updates
The rear section is also camouflaged, but updated tail-lamp treatment and a revised bumper are expected. Toyota may largely carry forward the overall boxy MPV silhouette and side profile.

This means the Innova Hycross will retain its familiar road presence even after the facelift, but detailing could make it visibly different from the current model.
Interior Technology Upgrades Possible
Recent spy shots have also revealed the cabin. The basic layout of the dashboard, center console, and gear selector appear largely similar to the current model.
But the infotainment system remains an interesting point. The touchscreen was deliberately covered in the latest test mule, so it’s not confirmed whether Toyota will continue with the existing unit or introduce a larger/new-generation infotainment system.
Earlier spy shots also revealed the possibility of a larger touchscreen. New trims, upholstery, and upgrades to connected-car features could also be part of the facelift.
Upgrades to ADAS and Connected Features?
Toyota may also refresh the equipment list with the facelift. The existing Innova Hycross already offers Level 2 ADAS, a 360-degree camera, connected-car technology, and multiple safety features.
The facelift may include updated ADAS software, connected features, and cabin technology, although Toyota has not yet officially confirmed these changes.

2.0-Liter Petrol + Strong Hybrid Powertrain Likely Continue
Expectations of major changes on the mechanical front are currently low.
The current-generation Hycross’s 2.0-liter naturally aspirated petrol and 2.0-liter strong-hybrid powertrains are reported to continue with the facelift. The petrol version could be available with a CVT, while the hybrid could be available with an e-CVT transmission.
The efficiency of the strong-hybrid setup is one of the Innova Hycross’s biggest selling points, so Toyota could focus on styling and technology rather than completely overhauling this proven formula.
2027 Toyota Innova Hycross Facelift Launch

Toyota has not yet announced an official launch date for the facelift. However, based on multiple reports and ongoing road testing, a launch is expected in the early months of 2027.
Pricing has also not been officially announced. Minor revisions compared to current pricing are possible based on the facelift’s cosmetic and feature upgrades.
Competition from the Maruti Invicto
The Innova Hycross’s closest relative and direct rival will be the Maruti Suzuki Invicto. Additionally, competition in the premium three-row space is intensifying with the arrival of new SUVs and electrified models.
Toyota’s biggest advantage will be the Hycross’s spacious three-row cabin, strong-hybrid efficiency, and the Innova brand’s established reputation.
Auto India Daily Verdict
The 2027 Toyota Innova Hycross Facelift may not be an all-new generation model, but rather a substantial mid-cycle update. If Toyota genuinely makes the front design more premium and upgrades the infotainment, connected tech, and ADAS, the Hycross could feel fresh without disrupting its current formula.
The biggest question now is how big a leap Toyota makes in cabin technology alongside the exterior. The latest testing suggests that the Hycross facelift could be more interesting than just a bumper-and-grille update.
