Kia Sorento has finally made its India debut, giving the Korean automaker a new premium three-row SUV for the Indian market.

With its large dimensions, premium cabin, multiple seating configurations and advanced technology, the Sorento is positioned above Kia’s existing mass-market SUV lineup in India. The company is offering the SUV in multiple variants, including HTE, HTE(O), HTK, HTK(A), HTK(A) Black Line, HTX and higher Black Line versions.

The introductory price of the Kia Sorento starts at Rs 27.99 lakh for the 7-seat diesel HTE variant. The hybrid range starts at Rs 29.49 lakh for the 7-seat HTE version.

All prices are introductory ex-showroom prices. Kia’s price sheet specifies that (O) refers to the Convenience Pack, while (A) variants come with the ADAS and Black Line Styling Packs.
Two Powertrain Options On Offer
One of the biggest highlights of the India-spec Kia Sorento is that buyers get a choice between a diesel engine and a hybrid powertrain.
The diesel version uses a 2.2-litre diesel engine producing 193 PS and 442 Nm of torque. This option is likely to appeal to buyers looking for strong low-end performance and long-distance touring capability.
