The Maruti Swift CNG AMT is offered in the VXi, VXi (O), and ZXi variants. The CNG-AMT combination is not available in the top-spec ZXi+ variant. The AMT setup carries a premium of Rs. 35,000 compared to the manual CNG versions.

Maruti Swift CNG AMT Price and Variants
The Maruti Swift CNG AMT has an introductory starting price of Rs. 7.92 lakh. Maruti has positioned it above the existing CNG lineup, where manual versions are already available.

Maruti’s existing CNG-manual Swift VXi, VXi (O), and ZXi variants are priced at Rs. 7.57 lakh, Rs. 7.83 lakh, and Rs. 8.51 lakh, respectively, in September 2026.
35.34 km/kg Claimed Mileage
The most important highlight of the Maruti Swift CNG AMT is its claimed fuel efficiency figure. According to Maruti, it delivers a mileage of 35.34 km/kg.
This figure is 2.49 km/kg more than the 32.85 km/kg claimed for the Swift CNG manual. Thus, the AMT version not only offers clutch-free driving, but also surpasses the manual CNG version in claimed efficiency figures.
Real-world mileage may vary depending on traffic, driving style, road conditions, and CNG quality.
1.2-Litre Z-Series Engine With 5-Speed AMT
The Maruti Swift CNG AMT uses the same 1.2-liter, three-cylinder Z-Series engine. In CNG mode, the engine produces around 68.7bhp and 101.8Nm, while in petrol mode, the output is 81.74bhp and 112.4Nm.
The engine is paired with a 5-speed AMT gearbox. With this combination, the Swift CNG now offers the option to drive in city traffic without operating the clutch pedal.

55-Liter CNG Tank in Boot
In the Maruti Swift CNG AMT, Maruti has used a single 55-liter CNG tank, positioned in the boot area. The company has not used the underbody CNG tank layout seen in models like the Brezza and Victoria.
The Swift also retains the spare wheel along with the CNG tank. However, the placement of the single large tank significantly limits boot space.
This is a different approach from the twin-cylinder setup of the Tata Tiago and Tigor CNG-AMT, where the CNG cylinders are accommodated through separate packaging.

Swift CNG AMT Gets CNG-Specific Changes
Apart from the addition of the AMT gearbox, Maruti has also made some specific changes to the mechanical setup of the CNG version.
The Swift CNG AMT features retuned suspension to handle the additional CNG tank weight. The car also gets a CNG fuel-level indicator and a fuel-change switch.
Other than this, the standard Swift’s familiar features and cabin layout have largely been carried over.

Swift, Dzire and Baleno CNG AMT Launched Together
Swift CNG AMT has not been launched alone. Maruti Suzuki has also introduced Dzire CNG AMT and Baleno CNG AMT under the same initiative.
All three are offered with a combination of CNG and an AMT gearbox. The Dzire CNG AMT has a claimed fuel efficiency of 36.47 km/kg, the Swift claims 35.34 km/kg, while the Baleno CNG AMT has a figure of 34.47 km/kg.
With this update, Maruti Suzuki has also expanded the option of automatic transmissions for CNG buyers, along with the manual one.
