The Hyundai Creta is already one of India’s most established midsize SUVs, but the next-generation model is expected to bring a much bigger transformation than a regular facelift.
Hyundai has confirmed that a Next-Gen Hyundai Creta 2027 is part of its future India product plan, while test mules have already been spotted on Indian roads. The third-generation SUV is currently expected to arrive sometime in 2027, with reports pointing towards a new platform, larger dimensions, a redesigned cabin and a possible strong-hybrid powertrain.

Unlike the current Creta, which received a major facelift in 2024, the upcoming model will be a full generation change. Hyundai is expected to use the newer K3 platform that also underpins the second-generation Kia Seltos.
This platform change could bring improvements in packaging, structural rigidity, cabin space and technology. At the same time, the new Creta is expected to retain the familiar petrol and diesel powertrains, while adding a strong-hybrid option to its lineup.
