Mahindra’s upcoming BE 07 electric SUV has once again been spotted testing on Indian roads. The latest spy images of the heavily camouflaged test mule reveal some details about the production-spec model’s proportions and rear design.
Mahindra has confirmed that the Mahindra BE 07 will arrive as a production version in 2027 and will be positioned above the BE 6.

The BE 07 is the next important model in Mahindra’s born-electric portfolio. The SUV will be based on the INGLO electric architecture, the same platform family that underpins models like the BE 6, XEV 9e and XEV 9S.
The company previously showcased the Mahindra BE 07 as a concept, measuring 4,565mm long, 1,900mm wide, and 1,660mm tall, with a 2,775mm wheelbase. The final dimensions of the production version may be different.

Mahindra BE 07 Spy Shots: What’s Spotted?
The latest test mule is still covered in heavy camouflage, but its overall silhouette is clearly visible. The Mahindra BE 07 is being developed with a more conventional and practical SUV shape than the BE 6. Earlier spy shots have also revealed elements like a sharply raked windscreen, a thick C-pillar, and a distinctive roof profile.
The rear section shows slim LED tail-lamp elements and a relatively wide tailgate. The production model is expected to continue Mahindra’s BE family design language. Previous test mules featured slim LED DRLs and production-oriented lighting elements on the front.
Frameless Doors and Flush Door Handles
Some of the most interesting exterior details of the BE 07 include frameless doors and flush-fitting door handles. These elements were clearly visible on production-oriented test mules in spy shots revealed in July 2026. These features could help give the SUV a premium positioning.

Previous spy shots have also revealed significant information about the cabin. A prototype spotted in August 2026 featured a triple-screen setup on the dashboard, which is expected to include a digital instrument cluster, a central infotainment display, and a separate screen for the front passenger.
Battery, Range, and Powertrain
The exact battery specifications of the Mahindra BE 07 have not yet been officially confirmed. However, recent reports suggest the SUV will likely feature the 59kWh and 79kWh battery options from the BE 6. A dual-motor AWD configuration with RWD is also expected. Its claimed range may be lower than the BE 6 due to its larger body and higher weight.
Mahindra’s INGLO architecture supports different battery capacities and drivetrain layouts, so final BE 07 specifications are expected closer to market launch.

2027 Launch and Expected Rivals
Mahindra has officially confirmed that its next electric offering will arrive in 2027, which will be a production version of the Mahindra BE 07 concept. The SUV could compete with segment-leading models like the Tata Harrier EV, VinFast VF7, BYD Atto 3, and Mahindra XEV 9e.
Reports indicate the BE 07’s expected price will start around Rs. 29 lakh, although final pricing will be announced by Mahindra at the time of launch.

The latest spy shots clearly indicate that the Mahindra BE 07 is moving towards production. Frameless doors, flush handles, the INGLO platform, and the expected triple-screen cabin could make it a larger and more premium electric SUV than the BE 6.
The most important details—final battery, range, power output, variants, and launch date—will await Mahindra’s official announcement.
