Tata Osprey has been introduced in South Africa by Tata Motors Passenger Vehicle Ltd (TMPVL) in partnership with Motus Holdings. The company has also unveiled its new global customer-facing brand identity TATA.CARS on the same occasion.

Tata Nexon in India, Osprey in South Africa
The Tata Osprey is essentially the same compact SUV known as the Tata Nexon in the Indian market. However, for the South African market, Tata Motors has given this SUV a completely different identity.
The name “Osprey” is inspired by a bird known for its sharp vision, strength, and adaptability. According to Tata, these characteristics also match South Africa’s diverse landscapes.
Osprey sales in South Africa have commenced through authorized TMPVL dealerships.

The South African-spec Tata Osprey is offered with a feature-rich package. The SUV comes with a panoramic sunroof, Bi-LED headlamps, LED DRLs, and X-Graphic full LED taillights.
To complete the exterior, the SUV also features 16-inch alloy wheels.
Though the name has changed to Osprey, the overall package clearly reflects the Nexon’s familiar compact-SUV personality.
