Bajaj Auto has officially launched the Pulsar N160 S and N160 SS in the Indian market, making its popular streetfighter lineup even more powerful.
The company has introduced both these new variants with premium technology, more powerful engine and advanced rider-focused features.

The ex-showroom (Delhi) price of Pulsar N160 S and N160 SS has been kept at Rs. 1,33,511 and Rs. 1,42,585 respectively.
The most special thing is that both these motorcycles come with a new 4-valve oil-cooled engine, ride-by-wire electronic throttle, multiple ride modes and upgraded hardware.
The existing 2-valve Pulsar N160 will also continue to be sold in the lineup, giving buyers more options depending on their budget.

New 4-Valve Engine Delivers More Performance
The biggest highlight of the Pulsar N160 S and N160 SS is its new 164.5cc single-cylinder, oil-cooled, 4-valve engine. This engine produces 18.5 PS of power and 14.5 Nm of torque.
Compared to the old 2-valve engine, there’s a jump of approximately 2.5 PS in power, making the motorcycle feel more responsive.
Bajaj claims that this bike can achieve 0-60 kmph in just 4.5 seconds, which is considered quite impressive in this segment. This will benefit both daily city riding and highway performance.
Ride-by-Wire Technology and 4 Riding Modes
This time, Bajaj not only updated the engine, but also introduced an electronic throttle (Ride-by-Wire). This technology gives riders the option to customize the motorcycle to suit different riding conditions.
The bike’s riding modes are:
- Road Mode
- Rain Mode
- Sport Mode
- Off-Road Mode
To make riding in traffic more comfortable, the company has also introduced Crawl Technology. This feature helps the motorcycle move smoothly with less clutch use during heavy traffic or slow-speed riding.

Major Upgrades to Suspension and Braking
Along with the engine, Bajaj has also updated the motorcycle’s hardware. The Pulsar N160 S and N160 SS now feature 37mm USD (Upside Down) front forks, replacing the previous 33mm forks. This is expected to improve both high-speed stability and cornering confidence.
For braking, the motorcycle now features a larger 300mm front disc brake. The rear monoshock suspension remains the same.
The bike’s 14-liter fuel tank, 795mm seat height, 165mm ground clearance, 1,348mm wheelbase, and 151kg kerb weight remain unchanged.
Premium TFT Display and Smart Connectivity
The top-spec Pulsar N160 SS is the first Bajaj motorcycle to feature a 5-inch full-color TFT display. The biggest feature of this display is Google Maps Mirroring, which makes navigation even more convenient.

The design language remains familiar, but new graphics and premium touches give this motorcycle a fresh look. Golden USD forks, sporty alloy wheels, and aggressive body graphics further strengthen its road presence.
The top variant also receives slight changes to the handlebar positioning and seat ergonomics to better balance long-distance riding and a sporty posture.
