Renault has officially revealed the updated Kwid facelift for the Brazilian market. The entry-level hatchback receives subtle exterior styling changes along with significant cabin upgrades.

The biggest highlight of the Renault Kwid Facelift is its completely revamped interior, which features a cleaner dashboard layout and a dual-screen setup. In comparison, the India-spec Renault Kwid currently comes with a comparatively simpler cabin layout.

Renault Kwid Facelift: What’s New?
The most noticeable changes in the Brazilian-spec Renault Kwid facelift are seen inside the cabin. The hatchback now features a 10.1-inch free-standing touchscreen infotainment system along with a 7-inch digital instrument cluster. This setup makes the dashboard appear more modern and premium compared to the previous model.
The Kwid currently sold in India features an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system and a semi-digital driver’s display. Therefore, the cabin of the Brazilian model appears to be significantly advanced in terms of technology compared to the India-spec version.
Speaking of features, the Brazilian Kwid comes with manual air conditioning, powered front windows, electrically adjustable ORVMs, and two Type-C USB charging ports.
Renault Kwid Facelift Safety Features
The Brazilian-spec Kwid facelift also gets a decent package of safety equipment. The entry-level hatchback comes with features like four airbags as standard, a reverse parking camera, a tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS), ABS with EBD, and hill-start assist.
The India-spec Kwid’s Climber variant offers up to six airbags, making the Indian model stronger in some areas when it comes to safety equipment.
Exterior Design Gets Subtle Updates
On the exterior, Renault has largely retained the Kwid’s overall shape, but several styling updates have been made to give the front and rear sections a fresh look.
The front profile features a redesigned grille with vertical slats and a new 3D Renault logo. The headlamp setup continues with halogen units and LED DRL bars. The updated front bumper features a more aggressive styling treatment with blacked-out elements.
The most noticeable update to the side profile is the new 14-inch dual-tone alloy wheels. Compared to the Brazil-spec model, the India-spec Kwid gets 14-inch steel wheels with plastic wheel covers.
The rear section features revised LED tail-lamp elements, although the overall rear design retains the familiar Kwid silhouette.
Renault Kwid Dimensions and Practicality
The Kwid facelift has a wheelbase of 2,423mm, while the boot space is 290 liters. Interestingly, the boot of the Brazilian-spec model is 11 liters larger than the India-spec Kwid.
Ground clearance has been kept at 185mm, which is a useful figure considering Indian road conditions.

Renault Kwid Facelift Engine and Gearbox
The Brazilian-spec Kwid facelift does not receive any major mechanical changes to its powertrain. The hatchback retains the 1.0-liter, three-cylinder naturally aspirated petrol engine.
The engine produces 71 hp and 98 Nm on ethanol fuel, while output on petrol is 68 hp and 92 Nm. The engine is paired with a standard 5-speed manual gearbox.
The India-spec Renault Kwid also offers a 1.0-liter petrol engine, but a key advantage of the Indian version is the 5-speed AMT option, which is currently missing from the Brazilian-spec model.
India-Spec Renault Kwid vs. Brazil-Spec Facelift
There are noticeable differences in cabin and equipment between the Brazilian Kwid facelift and the India-spec Kwid. The Brazilian model gets a larger infotainment screen, a fully digital instrument console, new alloy wheels, and revised styling.
The India-spec Kwid, meanwhile, offers features like a smaller 8-inch touchscreen, a semi-digital instrument cluster, and an AMT gearbox. The India-spec Climber variant also offers six airbags.
So, if the changes from the Brazilian facelift are introduced in India, the larger screen, digital instrument cluster, and refreshed exterior could make the Kwid more competitive in the entry-level hatchback segment.
