2026 Porsche Cayenne Electric Coming to India on September 30: Key Details

Porsche India is all set to officially debut the Cayenne Electric in India on September 30. The company had already announced pricing for this electric luxury SUV, with a starting price of Rs 1.76 crore (ex-showroom).

In India, it will be offered in the 2026 Porsche Cayenne Electric, more powerful Cayenne Turbo Electric variants.

In the new Cayenne Electric, Porsche has combined performance with long-range capability and premium technology.

The SUV will feature a 113kWh battery pack, dual electric motors, and an all-wheel-drive system. The most powerful Turbo Electric variant will generate 1,156hp.

2026 Porsche Cayenne Electric: Battery and Range

The standard Cayenne Electric features a 113kWh battery pack that powers dual electric motors. This setup generates 408hp and 835Nm of torque.

With this, the SUV can accelerate from 0-100kph in just 4.8 seconds, while the top speed is electronically limited to 230kph. Porsche claims that the standard Cayenne Electric can deliver a range of up to 642km on a full charge.

If you need even more performance, there’s the Cayenne Turbo Electric option. This variant produces an unbelievable 1,156hp and 1,150Nm of torque. This SUV can complete 0-100kph in just 2.5 seconds and has a top speed of 260kph.

The Turbo variant also has a claimed range of up to 623km.

Up to 600kW Regenerative Braking

The 2026 Porsche Cayenne Electric isn’t just impressive for acceleration. Porsche has also equipped it with a powerful regenerative braking system.

According to the company, the SUV can recover up to 600kW of energy. Actual recovery speed will depend on factors such as battery temperature and battery charge level.

Porsche says that up to 97 percent of braking can be handled by electric motors. The company even describes this as comparable to Formula E-level regeneration performance.

Another interesting feature is its optional 11 kW wireless charging system. According to Porsche, the Cayenne Electric is the company’s first car to offer wireless charging technology.

2026 Porsche Cayenne Electric: Design

In terms of design, the Cayenne Electric’s overall silhouette remains familiar to the existing combustion-engine Cayenne, but the front and rear receive EV-specific changes.

The conventional grille at the front has been largely blanked-off. Air vents are located on both sides of the bumper, which help cool the battery and electrical components. Active aerodynamic vents are also provided in the lower section.

The SUV is available with a choice of 20-inch to 22-inch alloy wheels. The rear profile features a full-width LED light bar with illuminated Porsche lettering.

The Turbo Electric variant will feature a body-colored skid plate, while the standard version uses a black finish.

In terms of dimensions, the Cayenne Electric measures 4,985mm in length, 55mm longer than the combustion-engine Cayenne. It has a wheelbase of 3,023mm, a width of 1,980mm, and a height of 1,674mm.

For practicality, the SUV features a 90-liter frunk and a 781-liter boot. With the rear seats folded, the boot space increases to 1,588 liters.

2026 Porsche Cayenne Electric: Interior and Features

Porsche has placed a significant emphasis on technology in the cabin. The Cayenne Electric features a 14.5-inch curved infotainment touchscreen with a digital driver’s display. This is a significant first for a Porsche model in India.

Customers can also opt for an optional 14.9-inch passenger display. An augmented-reality head-up display is also available.

The list of features includes 8-way electrically adjustable front seats, which can be upgraded to 18-way adjustable seats through an optional package.

The SUV also offers features like four-zone automatic climate control, ventilated front seats, a panoramic sunroof, and wireless phone charging.

Audio features a 14-speaker Bose sound system as standard, while customers can opt for an optional 20-speaker Harman Kardon system.
