Lexus has unveiled the updated 2026 Lexus NX Facelift, bringing a series of changes to its second-generation luxury SUV.
The facelift introduces revised styling, a cleaner cabin, updated technology and improvements to its hybrid powertrains.

The biggest mechanical changes are reserved for the NX 450h+ plug-in hybrid, which now gets more power, a larger battery and more than 100km of claimed electric-only range. Lexus has also introduced DC fast charging for the PHEV.
The company has not yet announced when the 2026 Lexus NX Facelift will arrive in India.

2026 Lexus NX Facelift Gets Sharper Exterior
The overall silhouette of the NX remains familiar, but Lexus has made several changes to give the SUV a more modern appearance.
At the front, the 2026 Lexus NX Facelift features a frameless spindle-style grille accompanied by redesigned LED headlights. The lighting units now incorporate two DRL elements per headlamp, compared with a single strip on the outgoing model.
The rear receives illuminated LEXUS lettering and newly designed LED tail-lamps linked by a light bar. Depending on the market and variant, customers can choose between 18-inch and 20-inch alloy wheels.
Lexus has also expanded the exterior colour palette with new shades including Sonic Platinum and Sonic Tellus.
2026 Lexus NX Facelift Interior Gets A Cleaner Layout
The cabin of the updated 2026 Lexus NX Facelift takes inspiration from newer Lexus models, including the latest ES and TZ. The company has focused on creating a cleaner dashboard by reducing the number of conventional physical controls.
Several functions have now been moved to touch-sensitive controls and the central touchscreen. Lexus says the touch controls provide feedback when operated.
Another notable change is the drive-mode selector, which has been redesigned as a toggle-style switch instead of the previous gear lever-like arrangement. The steering wheel has also been updated and now features LEXUS lettering in place of the traditional logo.
The NX is offered in four trims depending on the market: Business, Executive, Luxury and F Sport.
Standard equipment includes powered and heated front seats, a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster and a 14-inch touchscreen infotainment system. The latter continues with the same screen size but now uses the latest LexusConnect multimedia platform, which is claimed to offer four times faster processing and 256GB of storage.
Higher Trims Add More Equipment
The Executive version adds features such as front-seat memory, electric lumbar adjustment, ventilated front seats, a gesture-operated tailgate, a 360-degree camera, wireless smartphone charging and multi-colour ambient lighting.
The Luxury trim brings 20-inch alloy wheels, leather upholstery, heated rear seats and a head-up display.
Meanwhile, the F Sport variant gets a sportier treatment with piano-black exterior elements, 20-inch twin-spoke wheels and exclusive colour combinations.
A premium equipment package is also available on select variants, adding a 17-speaker Mark Levinson audio system and a digital rear-view mirror. ADAS features are available across the NX range.

2026 Lexus NX 450h+ Gets More Power And EV Range
The biggest update comes to the NX 450h+ plug-in hybrid.
Its 2.5-litre petrol engine and electric motor combination now produces 307hp, an increase of 15hp over the previous 292hp setup.
The PHEV also gets a larger 23kWh lithium-ion battery, compared with the previous 18kWh unit. Lexus says the electric-only driving range has consequently increased from 72km to more than 100km.
The NX 450h+ continues to be offered with all-wheel drive and can accelerate from 0-100kph in a claimed 6.1 seconds.
For the first time, the updated PHEV also supports DC fast charging, with Lexus claiming a 10-80% charging time of approximately 30 minutes.
Another interesting addition is a 1,500W AC power outlet, allowing the SUV’s battery system to power external electrical equipment.
Lexus NX 350h Hybrid Also Gets Updates
The conventional hybrid version, the NX 350h, continues with a 2.5-litre petrol-electric powertrain.
Combined output stands at 199hp, while Lexus has managed to reduce the weight of the hybrid battery substantially. The battery now weighs 23.5kg, down from 32.7kg previously.
The front-wheel-drive NX 350h is claimed to accelerate from 0-100kph in 7.7 seconds, while the all-wheel-drive version completes the same sprint in 7.3 seconds.

2026 Lexus NX Facelift India Launch
Lexus currently sells the NX 350h in India, with prices ranging from Rs 67.59 lakh to Rs 74.50 lakh (ex-showroom).
The company has not revealed an India launch timeline for the facelifted NX. If Lexus brings the updated SUV to India, prices are likely to be revised to reflect the additional equipment and powertrain updates.
Once launched, the Lexus NX will continue to compete with luxury SUVs including the Mercedes-Benz GLC, BMW X3, Audi Q5 and Volvo XC60.

The 2026 Lexus NX Facelift is more than a cosmetic update. While the exterior and cabin receive subtle but meaningful changes, the NX 450h+ gets the most significant upgrade with additional power, a larger battery, DC fast charging and more than 100km of claimed electric range.
For India, the biggest question remains whether Lexus will introduce the updated NX 350h and NX 450h+ in the market. If brought here, the facelift could make the NX a more compelling alternative in the premium hybrid SUV segment.
