There are no major changes in the design of the 2027 Versys 1100. The overall look of the bike is that of a proper long-distance adventure tourer, with twin LED headlamps at the front, compact LED blinkers and a stepless adjustable windscreen.

Its side profile features wide shrouds and an upright riding position, designed to provide a comfortable riding posture for long rides. The motorcycle comes with a split-seat setup with urethane cushioning, while a clean-mount pannier system is also available for carrying luggage.

The bike has a large 21-litre fuel tank, which is useful for a touring-focused motorcycle. It gets 17-inch wheels at both the front and rear.

Features Include a Comprehensive Electronic Package

Kawasaki has equipped the Versys 1100 quite well in terms of features. All-LED lighting, electronic cruise control, and a USB Type-C charging port are standard equipment.

The safety and electronics package includes dual-channel cornering ABS, traction control, multiple power modes, and engine braking control. The bike also features an Economical Riding Indicator, which provides useful feedback for efficient riding.

On the transmission side, an assist and slipper clutch are available. For instrumentation, Kawasaki has provided a semi-digital instrument cluster.

Suspension and Braking Setup

The 2027 Kawasaki Versys 1100 is built on a tubular diamond frame. The suspension setup includes 43mm telescopic forks at the front and a gas-charged monoshock at the rear.

The rear suspension features a horizontal back-link arrangement with rebound damping and remote spring preload adjustability. This setup has been tuned for long-distance touring and varied road conditions.

Braking duties are handled by a dual-disc setup at the front and a single disc brake at the rear.

Tire sizes include 120/70 ZR17 front and 180/55 ZR17 rear tubeless tires.

1,099cc Four-Cylinder Engine

The biggest highlight of the 2027 Versys 1100 is its powerful four-cylinder engine. The motorcycle is powered by a 1,099cc, liquid-cooled, four-cylinder engine.

This engine produces a maximum power of 133 bhp at 9,000 rpm and a peak torque of 112 Nm at 7,600 rpm. The engine is paired with a 6-speed gearbox.

With this powertrain, the Versys 1100 focuses more on high-speed touring, highway cruising, and long-distance riding than outright off-road performance.

Dimensions and Weight

The Versys 1100 has a ground clearance of 150mm, while the saddle height is 820mm. The motorcycle’s dry weight is 235kg.

With a 21-litre fuel tank and substantial bodywork, this isn’t a lightweight adventure motorcycle, but its focus is on stability and long-distance comfort in the litre-class touring segment.

Auto India Daily Verdict

The 2027 Kawasaki Versys 1100 arrives as a model-year update, not a major facelift. With pricing unchanged at Rs. 13.89 lakh, Kawasaki has retained the familiar design, 1,099cc four-cylinder engine, and touring-focused equipment.

The bike’s biggest strengths are its powerful four-cylinder motor, 21-liter fuel tank, cruise control, and comprehensive electronics package. If long-distance highway touring is a priority, the Versys 1100 remains a strong option in the liter-class ADV segment.
