BMW M Nürburgring Editions are making the Nürburgring’s 100th anniversary celebration even more special, with BMW Motorrad revealing exclusive 100 Jahre Nürburgring Editions of the M 1000 RR, M 1000 R, and M 1000 XR.
The three motorcycles have been designed with dedicated anniversary styling and premium performance equipment.

More importantly, only 100 units of each model will be produced worldwide. This means there will be separate 100-unit production runs for the M 1000 RR, M 1000 R, and M 1000 XR.
According to BMW Motorrad, ordering for these motorcycles will begin on 19 October 2026, while details of individual market availability will be disclosed market-wise.

BMW M Nurburgring Editions Green Gives Them a Distinct Identity
The most noticeable element of these special editions is the Nürburgring Green paint, which BMW developed specifically for this anniversary edition. The green finish is combined with anniversary graphics and Nürburgring-inspired detailing.
The fuel tank features a painted silhouette of the Nordschleife, while the airbox cover features anniversary graphics and individual one-of-100 markings. This further emphasizes the motorcycle’s limited-production identity.
The carbon wheels feature Nürburgring Green accent stripes. The rear swingarm and rear frame receive a black finish, further strengthening the contrast with the green bodywork.
The seat is also different from the standard M 1000 models. All three motorcycles feature an Alcantara-look seat finish with an embroidered 100 graphic.
M Track Package Comes Standard
BMW Motorrad hasn’t just made these anniversary motorcycles a cosmetic special edition. The M Track Package is part of the standard equipment on all three models.
This package gives the motorcycles a racetrack-focused character, perfectly matching the overall theme of the Nürburgring Anniversary Edition. Carbon wheels and additional M equipment are also included in the edition’s standard package.
Owners will also receive a dedicated M motorcycle mat with the motorcycle, featuring the 100 Jahre Nürburgring logo. A rear paddock stand and required swingarm mounts are also part of the package. An M Cover Kit is also included for the BMW M 1000 RR and M 1000 R.
BMW M 1000 RR: Track-Focused Flagship
The M 1000 RR is the most obvious racetrack-focused motorcycle in the lineup. BMW positions it around maximum racetrack orientation, aerodynamic precision, and lightweight construction.
Its Nürburgring edition combines the high-performance character of the standard RR with anniversary-specific design and equipment. Limited production also makes it particularly interesting for collectors.

BMW M 1000 R: Superbike Performance With Upright Ergonomics
The M 1000 R is a hyper-naked motorcycle that combines superbike-level performance with a relatively upright riding position and minimal bodywork.
The Nürburgring Edition receives the same Green Hell-inspired treatment, but its riding character takes a more road-friendly approach compared to the M 1000 RR.
BMW M 1000 XR: Performance Meets Long-Distance Usability
The most different motorcycle in the lineup is the M 1000 XR. It represents the high-performance crossover concept, combining high-speed capability with comparatively more accommodating ergonomics.
This makes the M 1000 XR Nürburgring Edition the most versatile proposition of the three. It is designed to accommodate performance-focused riding as well as longer-distance use.
The Nürburgring and BMW Motorrad Connection
The Nürburgring’s connection with BMW is quite old. The Nordschleife is 20.8 km long and features 73 corners, along with significant elevation changes and constantly changing track characteristics. BMW Motorrad’s connection to the circuit dates back to 1927, when BMW recorded its first victory there.
Today, the Nürburgring is not just a racing circuit for BMW. Development and testing related to chassis, braking, aerodynamics, powertrain, and thermal management take place at the Nordschleife. BMW M uses it as a development benchmark for its high-performance vehicles.
Only 100 Units Of Each Motorcycle
This anniversary BMW M Nurburgring Editions is genuinely exclusive to BMW Motorrad, as production of the M 1000 RR, M 1000 R, and M 1000 XR—all three—is individually limited to 100 units worldwide.
The one of 100 marking on each motorcycle visually highlights its limited-production status. Overall, a total of 300 anniversary motorcycles will be produced from BMW Motorrad’s motorcycle portfolio—the 100 RR, 100 R, and 100 XR.
