Nissan has officially revealed the 2027 Nissan Rogue Hybrid for the US market, bringing a completely new hybrid setup to one of the brand’s most important SUVs.
Unlike conventional hybrids that use the gasoline engine to drive the wheels directly, the new Rogue Hybrid uses Nissan’s third-generation e-POWER system, where electric motors drive the wheels while a gasoline engine works as a generator.

The new 2027 Nissan Rogue Hybrid produces a combined 225 horsepower and comes standard with dual-motor all-wheel drive. Nissan estimates fuel economy at up to 40 mpg city, 36 mpg highway and 38 mpg combined for the SR trim, although official EPA ratings are still to come.
The first version will arrive in the US in late fall 2026, with additional trims expected in early 2027.

2027 Nissan Rogue Hybrid: What Makes Its Powertrain Different?
The biggest talking point of the 2027 Nissan Rogue Hybrid is its e-POWER drivetrain. The system uses a turbocharged 1.5-liter three-cylinder gasoline engine, but unlike a conventional parallel hybrid, that engine does not directly drive the wheels.
Instead, the gasoline engine generates electricity for the battery and electric motors. Two electric motors then send power to the front and rear wheels, giving the Rogue standard dual-motor AWD. Nissan says the setup delivers instant torque and a transmission-free driving experience, while still allowing owners to refuel the SUV at a normal gas station without plugging it in.
The system has a 225-hp combined output, making the new Rogue Hybrid considerably more powerful than many conventional compact hybrid SUVs. That puts the Rogue Hybrid into direct competition with popular US hybrid SUVs such as the Toyota RAV4 Hybrid, Honda CR-V Hybrid, Hyundai Tucson Hybrid and Kia Sportage Hybrid. The exact EPA numbers for every Rogue Hybrid trim will be important once the vehicle reaches dealerships.
One important point is that the Rogue Hybrid does not need to be plugged in. It is a conventional self-charging hybrid from the owner’s perspective, even though its underlying powertrain architecture is significantly different from most hybrids sold in the US.
2027 Nissan Rogue Hybrid Price and Trims
Nissan’s US website currently lists the 2027 Rogue Hybrid with a starting MSRP of $35,490 for the SV trim, before destination and other charges. The SR starts at $37,490, while the SR with Technology Package starts at $41,490. The Platinum tops the range at $43,490.
US publications quoting prices with the $1,575 destination charge included list the lineup at $37,065 for the SV, $39,065 for the SR, $43,065 for the SR with Technology Package and $45,065 for the Platinum.

The SR with Technology Package will be the first version to reach US dealerships, arriving in limited quantities in late fall 2026. The other trims are expected to follow in early 2027.

New Design and More Premium Interior
The 2027 Nissan Rogue Hybrid also receives a complete redesign. Nissan has given the compact SUV sharper body surfacing, a new grille treatment and illuminated exterior elements around the headlights. A full-width rear lighting design is available, giving the Rogue a more modern appearance.
Inside, Nissan has completely redesigned the dashboard. Depending on the trim, buyers get either a 12.3-inch or 14.3-inch central touchscreen, while higher versions add Google-based software with Google Maps, Gemini AI and access to the Play Store. The Platinum trim also gets a 10-speaker Bose audio system.
Every Rogue Hybrid also gets a 15-watt Qi2 magnetic wireless charger, while the Platinum adds a second wireless charging pad. The SUV continues with a five-seat, two-row layout.
2027 Nissan Rogue Hybrid: Technology & Driver Assistance
Nissan has also upgraded the Rogue’s driver-assistance technology for 2027. The updated ProPilot Assist system uses a new front radar sensor, a wider-field front camera and updated software.
According to Nissan, the system is designed to improve lane centering and cornering performance. It can also assist with automatic lane changes, while Hands-off Traffic Jam Support allows temporary hands-off driving in certain low-speed traffic situations on divided highways when the system is active.
The Rogue Hybrid also gets practical family-focused upgrades. Its rear doors can open to almost 90 degrees, making it easier to access the second row and install child seats. Nissan says the SUV has 31 cubic feet of cargo space behind the second row and up to 66 cubic feet with the rear seats folded. Towing capacity is rated at up to 1,500 pounds.
When Does the 2027 Nissan Rogue Hybrid Go on Sale?
The first 2027 Nissan Rogue Hybrid models will reach US dealerships in late fall 2026, starting with the SR equipped with the Technology Package. Nissan says additional trims will follow in early 2027.
This launch also marks the US debut of Nissan’s e-POWER system, although the technology has already been used in other global markets. Nissan says nearly two million e-POWER-equipped vehicles from its previous two generations have been sold globally since 2016.
