Tata Motors has released another teaser of its upcoming compact sedan, with the latest Tata Aeris Teased update revealing more details of the production-spec model’s exterior design.

The Tata Aeris will be officially unveiled on September 25, 2026, and will replace the current Tigor. The latest teaser reveals slimmer LED headlamps, integrated DRLs, new alloy wheels, revised LED tail lamps, and Aeris badging at the rear.

Tata Aeris Teased: Front Design Gets Sleek
The latest teaser has further clarified the front profile of the Tata Aeris. The sedan will feature slimmer headlamps than the current Tigor, with integrated LED daytime running lights. Earlier teasers also revealed a revised front fascia and a larger lower intake manifold.
LED fog lamps will also be part of the Aeris’ exterior package, which were not available on the outgoing Tigor. Tata has attempted to give the overall front-end a more modern and sharper appearance.
New U-Shaped Alloy Wheels
The latest Tata Aeris Teased update is also highlights a new alloy wheel design. The wheel pattern is different from the current Tigor, and this design is expected on higher variants.
Design patent images and earlier previews also indicate that the Aeris will receive changes to its body panels. Therefore, it would be more accurate to call it a significantly updated Tigor rather than just a cosmetic badge change.
Major Changes to the Rear Profile
The most noticeable update in the rear section is the Aeris lettering, prominently placed on the tailgate. The new LED tail lamps have also been redesigned, with a sharper interior lighting signature.
Earlier design previews also revealed changes to the revised tailgate and rear bumper. The Aeris’s basic notchback-style silhouette is likely to be retained from the Tigor, but new body panels and lighting elements will give it a visually distinct look.

The Cabin Will Also See Major Updates
Tata has not yet officially revealed the Aeris’s complete interior. However, reports suggest the cabin could be significantly more modern than the current Tigor.
Expected changes include a redesigned dashboard, a larger touchscreen infotainment system, an updated digital instrument cluster, a new steering wheel, and a revised center-console layout. Considering the recent updates to the Tiago, the Aeris is likely to receive Tata’s new cabin design elements and additional equipment.
On the safety front, the Aeris is also expected to get six airbags, electronic stability control, and other standard safety equipment, but Tata will confirm the exact variant-wise equipment on September 25.
Will Petrol and CNG engines remain?
In terms of powertrain, the Tata Aeris is expected to retain the Tigor’s existing mechanical setup. According to reports, the petrol version could continue to feature the 1.2-liter three-cylinder Revotron engine, which has been available with 5-speed manual and 5-speed AMT gearbox options. A factory-fitted CNG version is also likely to be part of the lineup.
The exact output and final transmission combination of the CNG version will be confirmed after Tata’s official launch announcement.
Aris EV may also arrive
There are also expectations regarding an electric version of the Tata Aris. The existing Tigor EV features a 26 kWh battery and a 55 kW electric motor, but changes to the battery capacity and range for the Aris EV are being reported.
However, the final battery capacity, motor output, range, and launch timing of the Aris EV have not yet been officially confirmed.
Official Reveal on September 25th
Following the Tata Aris teased update, all eyes are now on September 25th. Tata Motors will reveal the sedan’s final design, features, variants, powertrain details, and pricing on that day.
Upon launch, the Aeris will compete with compact sedans like the Maruti Suzuki Dzire, Hyundai Aura, and Honda Amaze.
